    Orange fuel/Water?

Im not sure on the Ethanol content. Since were in CA im guessing yes. Unfortunately I have 120 gallons so disposal is the big issue. Thats alot of lawn mowing. I wish I knew someone with an old gas truck. They could burn it. At this point Im trying to "clean" the system of the old fuel which i...

    Orange fuel/Water?

I agree and I would love to drain the tank. However the little research i have done shows disposal of gasoline at $10-$15 PER GALLON! I'm gonna try and flush the port side and see if I can work that little bit through.

    Orange fuel/Water?

So I am starting the process of replacing my fuel tanks in my 265 Express. I have had multiple setbacks. A leaking front tank to start. I pumped the contents of that tank into the rear tank. During which I siphoned off about 2 gallons of water/fuel from the bottom and sent it to recycle. No...

    Fuel Tank Issue

An easy way to check this is pull the fuel line off at the valve and see if you can blow air back into the line. My 2002 does not have them, but the 2005's might.

    Crabbing

I built a table out of starboard that mounts along the gunnel to scotty bases. Then I ran a starboard section 12 inches down the outside of the gunnel to protect it. Works great and is a solid platform for placing traps. With the benefit of not having to bend over to the deck to empty crab out...

    Need Fuel Valve help

Rubiks cub is a great analogy! I checked the link that Southern Style had and they are out of stock. Im thinking they no longer make them. For now I might just use the new ones dismounted. They do work just not set up like the originals and the pointer direction is confusing.

    Need Fuel Valve help

Yeah it sucks. Guess Im gonna have to just do some other modification. It sucks I cant keep it the same. I checked the links on the other thread and like i said, it appears Moeller changed designs. Ill keep searching for a logical alternative.

    Need Fuel Valve help

Mine are exactly like yours. The photo was taken from google for a demo but the problem is the same. My old ones worked just as yours. But the new ones are not like the older version. On the old valve 9 O'clock was the Aux tank and 3 O'clock was the starboard tank. Both 12 and 6 O' clock were...

    Need Fuel Valve help

I have a 265 Express with duplicate fuel systems throughout. Meaning it has two tanks, dual independent pickups, filters and tank select valves. Last season I replaced the all fuel lines and the selector valves. My question is does anyone know if I can get the same 3 way valve that came with the...

    265 Express Transducer Install help

I did a thru hull on my 265 with a 20 deg. Works great. However, I actually removed one of my seacoks in the process to keep it in a flat spot under the keel. Can maybe sacrifice one port and double on the other. For me I didnt need the AC so I used that location. Maybe combine the Live well and...

    Crab pot puller

Good recommendation. My current setup is hard wired (no plugs) to a solenoid and I coat the terminals with liquid electrical tape! but it seems like at least every two the three years there are issues! Even the "waterproof" Switches grenade after a bit. Just regular maintenance items.

    Crab pot puller

I'm ok if we switch topics to Prawns. Those buggers are tasty! As far as pullers go it really just comes down to personal choice and how one wants to use their boat. They all will pull a variety of pots from the bottom. One thing I found that is a constant is no matter what system I have...

    Crab pot puller

I have used the The Ace line haulers for years. They work sufficiently. However they have he same shortcoming as the Scotty. In my opinion, they do not bring the trap high enough out of the water or above the rail. If your using light pots and dont mind the trap hitting the side a little then...
