I'm in the market for a used Islander. Probably a 2000 to 2003. I see several different motor combos on this model. I've seen dual 150s, dual 200s, dual 225s and a single 250. What is the best combo that provides good fuel economy and sufficient power?

Hi - I had a 1995 Islander with twin 200 HPDI's. The boat performed very well and had pretty decent economy (1.5+ MPG round trip to the canyons and back off of NJ. My boat had the step hull so it maxed out at 400HP. The newer models have a full hull all the way to the transom and are rated at 500HP I believe.
