Evening,
Past weekend was fueling up, boat was on trailer, and pump handle would shut off after 15 to 20 seconds. Took forever to get 25 gallons in tank. There was abt 20 gallons in tank and was sitting slightly bow down at the pump.
Research has lead to clogged fuel vent as most likely cause, question is where is fuel vent and how so you access it. Any other tips greatly appreciated.

Thanks
Rick

You didn't mention the year of the hull but 208s since the late 90s have a dual function Perko fuel filler. It is the filler and the vent in one piece. The vent enters the filler neck just below the top flange. The vent usually doesn't clog but the vent hose can, especially if is was installed incorrectly or has settled and created a low loop spot than can fill with gas and block air flow. It is difficult to get to and see the vent hose . It may be easier to remove the vent hose at the tank (mid deck inspection plate) and blow air into it with the fuel cap off to check that it is not blocked. Changing the vent hose is not fun.

A second possibility is that there is a blockage in the filler tube. That can happen when something plugs it like the seal from the bottle cap of fuel treatment accidentally falls into the tube.
