Need to replace cushion foam in the cuddy on our 86 24 offshore. We generally spend 2 to 3 nights on the boat when we go fishing. As were getting older were looking to replace the current 2 inch foam with hopefully something more comfortable. Plus the original cuddy cushions are covered in material when we replace the foam we will probably go with vinyl.

Hi John,

When we replaced ours, I went with 4" medium/high density foam (to eliminate hips "bottoming out"). We also had them covered in a light/medium gray vinyl with dark blue pinstriping. I made a board for the center area (never had one) out of 1/2" marine ply that I cut multiple 1-1/2" holes in to make it lighter and for (possible) drainage. Then, the vinyl guy cushioned/wrapped it for me. I also had him use vinyl mesh on all of the bottom sides. I asked him to use zippers, as well, on the bottom side. I used Sabatini's Coachworks in Nazareth - ask for Frank and tell him Dennis from Peters sent you, if you want.
