Pier 7 edgewater Md will be holding its 3rd Fishtober rockfish tournament early Oct. It is a great small tournament. 125 a boat up to 4 anglers 25 for extra anglers. All cash payouts. banquet at Coconuts joe's, food and beer provided. I will post more as I get it.

Sign up was tonight, got 15 boats entered you can still get in up to 9pm Friday night. Can enter at Pier 7 or Contact tournament at email below to set up.

1. Fishing areas are as state and Federal laws permit, Chesapeake bay only
2. Longest fish wins, measured by official scale person
3. All fish must be measured at official scale (Pier 7 Marina)
4. Lines in at 6am, lines out at 2pm
5. Boats can leave from any port any time on the day of the tournament but must measure fish at official station
6. No other person may touch the rod once the angler has the rod
7. Fish must be brought to scale by boat it was caught on
8. Boats coming to scale must fly the tournament flag and display while fishing
9. In a tie the first fish to the scale will win
10. Fish are measured to the fork in the tail
11. Only two(2) fish can be measured in each division, captain and crew must decide which fish to measure
12. All lines and bait are legal in correspondence with state and federal laws
13. Alcohol is discouraged while running a motor driven vehicle\boat
14. All IGFA rules will be recognized
15. Tournament will monitor channel 72
16. Channel 16 should be monitored for alerts along with the tournament channel
17. Scale opens at 2pm and closes at 4pm sharp, you must be in the 6mph zone no later than 4pm to measure a fish
18. All boats fish at own risk
19. Tournament date can be switched by committee due to weather
20. Calcutta break down as followed
a. $100 winner take all rockfish
b. $100, 50%-30%-20% split rockfish
c. $50, 50%-25%-15% split rockfish, 10% largest small fish division
d. $25 winner take all small Fish division
e. $25 winner take all Blue Fish
21. Tournament pay out
a. 50%-30%-20%, largest rockfish, pay out depending amount of boats.
22. All disputes must be in person no later than 30 minutes after the last fish is measured
23. FishTober reserves the right to disqualify and refuse anyone the right to fish
24. Cash only, must be turned in 1 day prior to the day of the tournament.
25. Banquet, Tournament Saturday 5pm to 7pm tail gate style at Coconut Joes lower tiki bar
26. Sign up/meeting Thursday October 11 at 5pm to 7pm at Coconut Joes do not need to attend but encouraged
27. Refunds, one boat fishing makes the tournament official and no refunds will be given, in the event no boats can fish refunds will be given within 10 business days
28. 35 boat tournament max.
