Looking to get a small reel for stripers, red drum, speckled trout in the Chesapeake Bay. Capacity of around 200-250 yds of 12 lb. braid. For use on a 7-foot rod to cast 1/4 - 1 oz lures. I know alot of you readers are chasing the big boys out in the canyons, but if any in-shore guys are reading, I appreciate any advice you can give me. Jeez, what I'm seeing in the stores is TRASH! Thanks in advance. Oh yeah, I'm not in the market for a Van Steal, whoops, Staal. Hot Ajax

I have Penn and Okuma reels. The Penn's are the battle wagons but for the bang for the buck I like my Okuma Avenger baitfeeder (I own 3)

I really like Shimano reels. I think SPHEROS 6000 should do what you need. It has a waterproof drag system and is as tough as they come.
