    97 208 Adventure/Suzuki DF200APXW2

For those that are looking to re-power with this era boat, I am happy and recommend the Suzuki 200/97 208 Adventure. A big shout out to Josh at Palm City Yachts delivering what was promised and more. Loaded up with full tank, ice, 2 people, etc. there is no weight issue with scuppers. Hole...

Dual Battery Switch on Adventure 208

I would think once started, all electronics (gauges, trim, etc.) would still work with a dead battery as long as your alternator is working. I am no expect so maybe I am wrong? If your battery 2 ground wire was corroded or not connected well, that may cause the problem. Try taking battery...

Confusion: Fuel Tank and Fuel Pump on Adventure 208

My guess is that your engine is fine. I have not opened the gas tank compartment to see if it is even possible but the only explanation I can think of is that your tank is not sitting level. There is probably gas in the tank but your pickup is not getting it all. When you run out of gas, you...

208 Adventure fuel tank replacement question

My 1997 208 has a poly tank. Are you saying the deck was cut out, new tank installed, and deck was fiberglassed in again? I am not trying to be a PITA, just confused and curious how difficult it would be to replace a tank in this boat. Here are some other post regarding poly tanks in the 208...

208 Adventure fuel tank replacement question

My bad, I think 1997 was the first year without hatch and with poly tank. In 1994, they started with the curved windshield.

208 Adventure fuel tank replacement question

Starting in 1997, the 208 Adventure came with a poly 82 gallon tank. At the same time, they stopped providing the large gas tank hatch which requires you to cut the deck in order to replace the tank. :hmm Maybe the thinking is a poly tank should last forvever? IDK. This was almost a show...

What is everyones thoughts on this Grady 208 adventure?

I second the "good deal" category as long as you can have the boat test driven and the motor inspected. Although the 98-99s with 200 ox66's are listed in the high teens to low 20s, they are not selling.

    208 with 200 HPDI ( Engine Height )

I swapped the motors and mounted the 200 HPDI raising it 2 holes (third hole) with a 17P prop. So far so good. On a clam day with a full tank of gas, trimmed up, no blowout/ventilation issues. I am getting WOT 5400 RPM.

To Survey or Not to Survey - 2001 GW 180

It all depends on the cost of the boat. I opted not to on a $10K boat.

    Repowering my 1986 20' overnighter

225 MERC EFI is thirsty indeed. I had a 1997, about 16 GPM at 4000 RPM.

    208 with 200 HPDI ( Engine Height )

Thanks for the reply... I am hoping someone else has the same setup. I am still unsure, 1 or 2. Too high, I lose a weekend pulling & re-calking. Too low, I wait until next season.

    208 with 200 HPDI ( Engine Height )

Greetings, I am a new to this site and a proud owner of a 1997 208 with a Yamaha 175. I will be mounting a 200 HPDI and was curious as to what hole others have used with this combination. Currently, the 175 is mounted using the lowest hole. The cavitation plate is level with the hull but it...
