if you really want to get fancy, go with scandvik clamps. they have slightly rounded cross section so the edges dont dig into the hose and grooves instead of slits so its smooth on the hose side allowing for more even compression

I finally finished my stereo upgrade. I started it a few years ago with replacing the generic 6.5s in the sides with JL M6 6.5s. They sounded amazing, best sounding 6.5s I’ve ever heard. With only the one pair of 6.5s on a 27’ boat, it was still tough to overcome the wind/water/engine noise...

this sums it up pretty well. we are talking about a difference in price equivalent to 30-45 minutes worth of fuel for something that protects your motor. other than in an emergency repair, there is no reason to put cheap parts on a boat.

when i first read the thread title, i thought that there was a boat being listed for sale in Miami. definitely seemed like a strange way to title a for sale thread. this makes more sense. OP - where is the fresh water tank, and is it full? black water tank? batteries?

after replacing the drain hoses and deck drains in my boat, i can tell you that it would have been easier to wrap with tape. at least the starboard side, the port side was a piece of cake. at least in my boat

if you are going to run the boat this season regardless, then yes, wrapping it with flex tape or something similar would help a bit. it may hold in a small leak and lessen the effects of a large failure. replacing is obviously the best way, and yes it is a major pain to do
