    2006 seafarer 228

Who needs to really go that fast. i have a 250 Suzuki on my 228 (painted bottom) and with a full tank was going 25mph at 4,500 RPM - that was in flat conditions in the bay here is San Francisco. That was a very confortable speed and the meter said the fuel use was 2.0 miles per gallon.

For Sale: Reduced 2005 Grady White Gulfstream 232

I bought a used 228 about ten years ago in July and the boat dealer arranged for shipping and all went well from NY to Northern Ca. They drove a pick-up to make the drive. Took them less than a week to make it across and it cost about $ 4,000. steve

Don't fret about the age thing. I am way older than you and i am able to handle my 228 just fine. You have a long time to go before you get relieved from being skipper. steve

    First boat

You should watch a bunch of videos on youtube for the GW215 - Some show boat features and others show action on the water. They are fun to watch and and you will learn a lot. steve

    NE Boat Show

Was was a part owner of a 20' boat - Cobia in the late 1960's that cost $ 1,500 - then in 1986 bought a "NEW" - Glastron v-216 for about $18,000 - after using that boat until 2014 realized it made no sense for an upgrade to a Grady White to buy new - was able to purchase a 2004 228 and have no...

Lorance HDS 7 - older model

The transducer was replaced (it broke off then) in December 2021 and on the way back from the mechanic to my marina I took a picture with my iphone which i still have that showed a reading at 150 feet. I recall that this depth lasted just a little while and then returned to the same problem. I...
