I found this Buss on the back wall in front of the chill box on my 2017 336 Canyon. It is in the off position. Does anyone know what
it is connected to?

100 amp is a big one. My guess is it's for your bow thruster or generator.

But I think your generator 100 amp fuse (not re-setable) is under that clear cover below the black breaker.

Since that breaker is in the "off" position, something big must not be working (?).

Black wire so could/should be AC Hot
100A is pretty big for AC on a boat Usually 30A or 50A shore power

DC ground will/ should never have a breaker on it . DC ground should/could be yellow where AC wiring is present

looks like the work of bubba. 100 amp DC fuse/disconnect. i use them for the wench on my pickup. probably a large motor driven device someplace on the boat. dc neg is not fused, should be a red wire if pos, ie bubba. that wire should stand out like a sore thumb at its final destination.

agree. looks like "i can do this" work. hard to tell, but those wires don't look 100 amp capable. probably a ground disconnect using a "switch" that was lying around. follow the wires. good luck, ron

lol good pickup on the pickup!

i don't know if you ran it down yet, but i just took delivery of a new boat and the dealer pointed out an out of the way breaker and said it was for the ACR. i haven't spent any time looking in to it, but maybe you have the same thing. i know my 2009 did not have an ACR. good luck, ron

Keeping it simple... with it in the Off position, what doesn't work?

FYI, that's a resettable breaker.

Also... check your wiring diagrams.

Chris... are you still there?

Agreed.
I was going to say disconnect it but if you can trip the breaker or shut it off it’s the simplest way to find out what it’s “not powering” at that point.

Assuming that he bought the boat new, the breaker has already been in the off position for four years, so if he hasn't noticed something not working by now, I don't think that is going to work.

I vote for windlass or thruster as well. It could be the secret ocean chem trail generator. I read about it on the interwebs once. Grady was a Freemason or something ,maybe iluminati , and he agreed in 1962 to put chem trail generators in his boats. Those things draw a lot of current , trust me.

My other theory is maybe it's for electric reels? those reels require a 30 amp circuit per reel. you could in theory get 3 reels on 100 amp circuit.

Not the first to post the mystery 100A breaker question, but I don't recall if the others had black wire leads. OP said located by the chill box. Is that a fish box, and does it have chill plates?

Gentlemen,
I wanted to come back and give you the answer I found out from Bert Kelly at Grady

That’s the Engine Isolator breaker. It takes some of the charging current from the Port Engine’s alternator, and sends it to the Stbd Batt Bank 1. They probably would never notice if it was off, since it’s a redundant charging source for that bank (the Stbd Eng being the primary source).

Any idea what this 100amp breaker goes to?

Looked in owner’s manual and didn’t see a 100amp breaker listed on the fuse sheet?

He says everything works even with this in the off position?
