Has anyone put a fish table on top of the back fish box? Just purchased a 2014 and would enjoy others thoughts / ideas. Pics would be great.

Not on a gulfstream but I put a large bait table on the fish box of my 305. Awesome addition if you fish. It bolts on and is removable if needed.

did the same as drbatts, only mistake was no spacers first time. a place for yuk and algae to accumulate. 2 spacers under fixed it. love it as a work station when fishing.
 
I'm super happy with my setup - gets LOTS of use as a rigging station, filet station, and lunch table. 2008 GS. I ordered the table custom sized from Boat Outfitters. I went as wide as I could while still leaving transom access to the swim step (starboard side) and remaining centered on the "fish coffin" lid. I made the depth of it such that if water or slime drips off the front edge it lands on the lid or in the lid gutter and not on the bench seat (or it's occupants). I used Burnewiin mounts so it's easily removable. I didn't buy the Burnewiin table as it's smaller and I don't like the side cutouts which will spray water/slime out the side instead of only out the back. I don't like saltwater on my gear or on me unnecessarily. The mounts put it at just the right working height with plenty of room underneath for cleaning. The table is very sturdy and I'll put my crab pots up on it while baiting or sorting crab. I believe it is 48" wide and 28" deep. Another mod in the pictures is I replaced the plastic cup holders with Mate Series stainless steel combo cup holder/rod holder. I use those for drinks (duh), rods while I'm rigging them, pliers, knives. I like them so much I'm adding another set immediately behind the two shown. Finally, the Burnewiin mounts for downriggers and their stainless steel rod holder which I like for my halibut rods with electric reels - especially when fishing 4 lb weights at 1,000 feet.

Looks good. I’ve got the Burnewiin downrigger mounts on my boat and love them. They’re a great product that work well, though they’re definitely not cheap. I would buy them again though as they clean up the boat and make it look much nicer than the cheap black plastic Scotty mounts that come with their downriggers.

Very Nice! Thank you for the pix and description. I built a plywood crab pot table for our old Olympic which works great. I have to sand and repaint it often and have plans for something just like what you've done for the new GW 235 we have on order. I was thinking that I would need to add another hinge to the lid for strength?
The dealer has thrown in 2 Burnewiin mounts to which I'll add a few more. Now I need 2 more!

For the table I just used the nylon mounts rather than the $$. No issues with strength of the 3 hinges.

Copy that. Thanks for the Boat Outfitters tip. I have a couple of McKay shrimp pots that are 36"x24", so a custom table is perfect. The 235 transom lid is not as wide as yours and only has 2 hinges.
So much that I want to do right away. It's gonna be a long Fall waiting for the new boat.

Nice, the only concern i'd have it blood and guts running down the back onto the rigging tube area. No big deal if you jump on it and wash it down though.

Did you go with the aluminum frame under the table?
 
I did not use framing under the table but did go with 3/4” material. No flex and no warping so far over 2 seasons of heavy usage.

I've watched this video a few times now and like the look as well as the functionality of the bait table on the back of his boat. It's not a 232 Gulfstream, but you get the idea.
