Anyone have a part number or know where I can find this steering wheel? Mine is just basic SS. My buddy has this with the rubber inserts on his new Coastal Explorer.

I have this steering wheel on my 2024 Freedom 215…the rubber in lays really make a significant difference in the feel and comfort of the steering! Your local dealer will surely point you to where to purchase one.

I found one on some parts website. Don't know if it was the GW version, but it was $600! That can't be right for a steering wheel.

Yep, finally got a price from the dealership....$612! That's crazy.

For what its worth...I use the suicide knob like 90% of the time. Nice wheel but $600?! whoa

Me too, but my buddy has a new Grady and the rubber inserts are very nice. Not $600 nice, but I'd pay $200 for it.

Not bad for the thing you touch the most.
My guess is it starts out as a stainless steel casting, so you need a tool and foundry. Lots of polishing after that, possible machining of the hub taper and rubber insert pockets. speaking of the insert, need those, so another tool, molding and attaching.
Edson knob, which is my grandson’s favorite thing :)
I can see the value for the wheel, but you have a nice wheel already and I understand $600 doesn’t seem worth it just for the inserts.

Love the new steering wheel on my new 2024 Freedom 215…somehow makes a big difference…would I pay $ 600 to replace the old regular style before This one…..Not sure….I recently was hauled out for the season by the dealership which sold me the boat..and they found a 3 inch scrape in the gel coat by the transom extenders…the asked me if I wanted it fixed by the “pro” fiberglass technician ..$650…..After thinking uneasily about it I said. OK. If it were my old boat I would have probably said no and done it myself…I am not so good DIY …owner/operator.

I just added a knob to my basic wheel, works fine for me. But if you need the inserts, I guess that's the only way to go.

Me too, some insanely expensive knob but it is sooooo smooth. And like someone else said, I use the knob 90% of the time.
But since I got auto pilot, steering wheel? What steering wheel? JK.

Here's my Sportsman's wheel, I think it's a Schmidt. I bought this knob, drilled the wheel and mounted. Since I have cable steering the smoothness of the knob is a moot point, it's plenty smooth enough for the cable system.

The only situation i wish to have another than a plain SS steering wheel (i had 4 of them) is in winter.
The Edson SS ComfortGrip i had on the Venture 34 felt better than the GW one on my Canyon and the worst was the one on my BW 23 Outrage.
I forgot to measure diameter of mine on the Canyon to see if i could find a car type wheel cover to use only in winter, a bit cheapo solution but will do the trick to keep my fingers warm.

Very nice. The wheel with the integrated ball is super but this job came out just as nice.

for the rubber inserts.... I bet you find some self adhesive rubber strips that you could fabricate to fit the wheel nicely.

.....and then when the get faded, dryed out, grungy, etc., you could simply peel and replace
