  • My first step is to pull the deck cover. I'm told that's tricky, so you don't crack the cover. Capt Phil - CPS Marine on Shunpike said he'd pull the deck cover and inspect the tank. He said in there's no fuel in the bilge, which there's not, there could be pitting on the top of the tank.
Thanks for the reply. I'm getting 1/2 or more water when I empty the separator. so for this year I've done it 3 times. Leads me to think I've got a tank problem with water getting in somewhere. I like your Sierra setup. Going to put one on. In the meantime trying to figure out if I have a leak issue.

Check the fuel fills for o-rings. Most common cause. I'm not buying it's getting in from the top of a pitted tank.
Good morning Hookup1. Noticed your "water in fuel" comment. I've got a 2006 22' Grady Seafarer at Snug Harbor, with an ongoing water issue. 2 summers ago I polished the fuel.. Last year the boat was barely used due to health issues and this year the water was back immediately. Changed out the separator 4 times with 1/2+ water in the separator each time. I'm thinking I have a tank leak issue. Appreciate your thoughts.

I use the Sierra clear bowl when running the boat. You can do it with the cans too but you can't see anything. I always dump them in a container, give it a minute to settle and pour the gas back in and discard the water. Top off with clean fuel and put it back up. Run it again and it will clean up.

I have a Self Storage business in Court House. Call or stop by and I can show you what I use. My boat is here for the summer getting ready for Florida.

I don't have a specific how-to for repairing the hatch. On GG go to search > tools > advanced and search coosa and hookup1 as look at different posts. If you have something specific you can PM me or just "reply" to any of the posts and I'll put the answer up on the board.
hey Hookup1, it's mleads310, Mike, from THT. Thanks again for you help and just wanted to be introduce myself.

Hi Mike. Great to me you. I'm on this site several times a day so it's easier to get to me. GG have a bunch of capable owners who are GW fans.

I just closed out a THT thread on Garmin Navionics+ built-in maps to replace Garmin 3G Bluecharts in my 8612xsv and 8619xsv. Told by members it couldn't be done. I figured out how to do it. After posting results I get qualified answers like "well it will only work on certain units". Too many smartasses...
