2013 Freedom 285 Windshield Frame Repair?

I scuffed the top of my windshield frame on a low bridge. As a result, the bottom of the frame where it attaches to the fiberglass lifted a bit exposing part of a screw. How do I access the bottom of the frame to address the lifted screw? While the actual damage is minimal, I would like to drive...

    Freedom 285 vs 275 questions

I have a 285 and love it. Twin 300 Yammies. Fast and large. Could not be happier. Minor complaint. Some of the hardware could be better quality stainless. It rusts. But, with that said, great boat.

    Battery Recommendation and DYI installation

I have the same boat. I have replaced the batteries myself. Not fun but doable. I originally had AM batteries. They did not last vs. the increased price. I replaced them with regular flooded acid batteries. I use Exides.

    Garmin 17xd GPS Antenna location

I need to know where Grady put this antenna on my 2013 Grady Freedom 285. I have removed the hardtop for other reasons so the antenna is mounted elsewhere not in sight. I know it needs a clear view of the sky but before I start taking the boat apart, I am hoping someone knows here Grady put this...

Lessons learned while boating official thread

Here is a general lesson I have learned while boating for more than 50 years. Never go boating for enjoyment if the weather is worsening. Since boating is supposed to be fun, why worry about racing bad weather.

    Freedom 285 Wire Chase Location

I need to run a wire from the port side where the fusion radio is located under the helm. I do not want to have to run it all around the aft side and up the starboard side. Does anyone know where a wire chase is to go from the port side midship to the starboard side under the helm?

    Freedom 285

Not at all. I am 68 and have a 100 ton Master Captain's license. I took my Freedom 285 from the south shore of Long Island to and from Mallets Bay Vermont. It's a great boat as long as you watch your weather. I do have an autopilot and would not want to hand steer for long trip.

    Adding a Third Battery

Thanks all. I do not operate the boat at all with the engines off when not plugged in to power. Sounds like I'll stick with what I have for now.

    Adding a Third Battery

I have a 2013 Grady Freedom 285. It has twin Yamaha F300's. I also have a battery charger used when I plug in to dockside electric. However, I only have two batteries. Both are dual purpose and I have never really had an issue with not having enough juice for all of my electronics. Does it seem...

    Flush Mount Horn Replacement

I need to replace the horn on my 203 Freedom 285. It is the flush mount with a cover with five slats and a screw on each side of the cover. I think it is an AFI or Marinco cheap 12v horn. Two questions. Can it be replaced from the outside? Is there generally enough slack in the two wires to...

Correct. Only four lugs. Not sure about the other orange wire.

Install Marinco 76030 Intelligent Wiper Switch - How To?

Here is a picture of the back of the switch. As you are looking at the picture, it is the switch on the right. According to Carling's website, power in is where the orange wire is. At least that's what I think.
