Off the Great Loop. Boat pulled, see the full damage - Yikes. How to post iPhone MOV files?

And me of course. If you get to Portage Lake, (West Shore, L Michigan) during the last 2 weeks of July, stop in. If this is a possibility, let me know, and I'll private message you with my contact info.

That's a big time difference. Those things have broken in nicely. Keep those "pesky coolers" off the boat, and you'll continue to turn those numbers. Hope your season is going well!

Ride Balance Changed After a Rough Trip

As I mentioned in my reply above, I don't see how it can be water. Any water in the bilge would naturally settle amidship, or in the middle of the bilge. This would not cause a list. I just read Hookup1's thought. I suppose one of the fish boxes or livewells could've filled, but I'm assuming...

Ride Balance Changed After a Rough Trip

Head Scratcher...Since it was a rough trip over a long distance, and the tabs are properly operational, I can only speculate a load shift somewhere aboard causing the list. Since your utilizing 2-3 bars of trim to compensate, the load shift, (if that's what it is) would have to be of...

Tournament 225 for big water fishing

I don't fish, so I know nothing about outriggers, working fish around engines, etc. I do know that if you have a 22 foot Grady in 2-3 footers on L Michigan, you will be safe, but hardly comfortable. It will likely ride a tad better than your Outrage, and you'll roll while drifting and...

    Heading home with my Gulfstream

This. With F200 6 cylinders, you'll be at 9K or maybe a bit more with gear & fuel. Even if you tow short distances, Electric Over Hydraulic brakes and the right capacity is a big deal. The boat certainly is. Oh, and BB: It will look much smaller on Gitchie Goomie than in your driveway.

    Heading home with my Gulfstream

Seasick: he has 200's I think. If so, that's all the way up. My 232 with 200's were the same: the nosecones were submerged. Didn't bother me any, although the boat was never slipped for any length of time.

This was great following along to. Sounds like a good week for you both. So...KY; Is this trip a do-over next year? Smoky has been many times, so I'm wondering what you and the Missus thought of it all? Travel safe the rest of the way.

Run Blower when Running Diesel Genset

My delivery Captain instructed me to run the blower the whole time the genset is running, so I do.

As I mentioned a few messages back, I figured you'd have lighter winds Thurs-Fri. Maybe into Sat as well until the cold front associated with the trough in the SE moves thru. If it punches all the way into the Straits, (unusual for mid-May) winds will veer N to NE and increase some into next week.

Doc: I wrote above that an approaching trough in the SE would interrupt the ESE flow around the Bermuda Hi. The wind wasn't forecast to drop 'till Thursday though. From the offshore shots, they just had groundswell and nothing over 10kts. I don't get the fishing stuff, but glad they're having fun.

    Marlin owners or 30 / 33 express .... which tank ?

Same here. I treat them as one tank and drain them down simultaneously. I just fill them both at the same time at the fuel dock.

Thurs & Fri are your days... A ridge of Hi Pressure East of you is causing the fairly normal ESE flow. A trough is approaching the Fla Mainland later this week that will likely (hopefully!) weaken the winds around the Hi. You'll have some residual groundswell, but hopefully winds 10kts or less...

Looks about normal out there. 15kt+ SE winds; looks like you took the shot as the Seafarer was rolling to one side....Water should be a tad over 80 degrees by now, I would think. If you spend much time on a mooring ball out there with a prevailing SE wind, watch for the occasional Man-O-War on...

Neat. Glad you had some extra fenders for that tie. You'll get under Vaca Cut Bridge with antennas down; the current absolutely roars thru there with the tidal changes. Sombrero Reef off 7 Mile Bridge has mooring balls and nice water, however, you are subject to a ESE roll under normal...
