    Anyone know approximate CU FT?

Russ, the microwave is an AC-only appliance. Regarding the microwave and stove usage... I can only tell you how I personally used those on my Sundancer. For the most part, I didn't. Never used the microwave. VERY seldomly used the stove - and that was usually just to heat up the cabin a...

Anyone seen a Roof Rack for storage on a Grady?

This is a picture of my boat from about 6 years ago - it's the best I have. But that's a top by Atlantic Towers - it has a long "handrail" (2" tubing) along both the starboard and port edges. I would imagine that you might be able to buy them from Atlantic - or have a local metal shop make...

1985 208 Overnighter fuel tank dimensions

Check with Moeller. It's probably cost prohibitive to get one custom made, but you find one that is close enough in shape that it will work - or maybe just needs some minor modification to the coffin floor. The nice thing, of course, is that plastic doesn't corrode.

Gulfstream 323--Simpson-Lawrence Horizon 600 Series Windlass

I'm thinking the same thing. We don't know if this is a new problem or existing or even a new install. But, 9 times out of 10, problems with windlass vs: line is due to old and/or dirty rope. Rope needs to be cleaned every so often - it gets stiff and dirty from salt and such, which leads to...

Installing Garmin 18 Fantom on my Grady white seafarer

If it was me, I would go right to the source. Ask Garmin.

1985 208 Overnighter fuel tank dimensions

Yeah, if you contacted them just over the holidays... well, they take breaks, too! :) Here's an untested idea... Is there any space between one end of the tank and the bulkhead? All you need is enough space to stick a coat hanger down. Put a small hook at the end and you should be able to...

    Towing inflatable

If you're towing on plane, you'll want to be able to adjust the length of the rope so that the tender is on the backside of the second stern wake. You don't want it in the trough or on the front of the wake. It will take a little trial and error so just make sure you set up your rigging so you...

1985 208 Overnighter fuel tank dimensions

How long ago did you contact them? They're usually pretty good with helping owners. Does your boat have a removable hatch over the tank?

    Bow Pulpit Upgrade

Well, you definitely had enough scope to eliminate that variable, Robert! The only other thing would be bottom conditions and for whatever reason, the plow isn't hooking up like it should. I've read enough (and seen some videos) about the Mantus over the years to know it's a good anchor...

    Bow Pulpit Upgrade

It's strange you're having that issue with the Delta - do others in your area with a similar style anchor also have problems? I'm not doubting what you're saying, it's just odd to hear it. I can't remember a time when I DID have a problem with a Delta... same goes for friends and family...

    Jack stands replacement

I think I understand what you're saying, there! You certainly don't need the 5K capacity. One thing I would suggest is that, if you don't already have it, get one with a "drop leg" so you don't have to do as much cranking.

    Trailer for Fisherman 222

Are those companies (or retail locations) local to the original poster?

    transom - is this structural?

Yes, that is VERY much structural. It gives lateral support and prevents the transom from bowing. It does not need to go all the way to the hull side to work as intended.

Grady white sailfish and release models

Offhand, I don't know. But, go to Grady's website and look at their archives - you can pretty easily figure it out that way.

    Repainting Yamaha engine cowlings?

I wouldn't put too much thought into this. It's a regular, run of the mill paint job - very simple for any decent autobody shop. Chances are, there's a place within 20 minutes of you. Stop by some local car dealerships and ask the service manager who he/she would recommend.

2017 Yamaha F250XB Lower Motor Mount Bolt Badly Rusted

I agree. That's just surface rust - that isn't bad, at all. Cover it with a protectant like Boeshield (or similar)... or even just grease. Reapply as needed. On the other hand, do you still have warranty on it? Run it by your dealer.

    Trailer for Fisherman 222

A lot of this is going to depend on where you live and what companies you have near you. Especially if you're not going to do the trailer adjustment (to properly fit your boat) yourself. There is, however, a difference from one manufacturer to another - not just in the frame, but also the...
