    Low Fuel pressure issues - 1992 Grady-White Marlin w/ twin 2002 Yamaha 225 4 strokes

OK, that helps. That means everything upstream of where you connected the portable tanks is NOT the issue. Why is the marina suggesting replacing fuel lines when they are not the culprit? Forget about vents and such, as well. Assuming you used new/good fuel in the portable tanks, that also...

    Not Sure

Just guessing, but it looks like it's for a table leg/post?

Contraption to keep feet dry when launching, easy winch hook remover.

Yes, that is correct. I've seen, literally, thousands of trailerable boats and that is true. I believe it's because there isn't enough room to get two of the latching hooks (which are larger) into the bow eye. 'Course, I'm not positive on that - but it seems to make sense.

Contraption to keep feet dry when launching, easy winch hook remover.

Hmmm. I agree that in theory, there should always be tension. But I have to assume that there's a reason that ALL manufacturer's use a locking hook. I don't think it's just for looks :) And, there are times when a winch's strap can loosen up - I've seen that on more than one occasion...

    fuel sender ground

Good point about the tank's ground. Dr., most likely the tank has a green wire that serves as the tank's ground. It is part of the "bonding system", which uses green wires. EDIT: Reading back through things, this may be what you are referring to? I may have misunderstood what you originally...

Adventure/overnight anchor light doesnt stay tight

I was kinda wondering the same thing - but maybe someone had cut a hole in it for some reason? I dunno.

Contraption to keep feet dry when launching, easy winch hook remover.

Interesting/ingenious! Question though... the winch strap should have a spring loaded safety clip on it. How do you get that off?

Sometimes the simplest solutions are the easiest to overlook

    fuel sender ground

First, check your ground bus bar behind the dash - that is another possible place for a loose/dirty ground connection (although I'm not sure if your tank ground goes to the dash bus bar or the bilge bus bar). Second, corrosion can work it way up inside the vinyl sheathing - and that could be...

Removing bottom paint from transducer lense.

I'd give Airmar a call and talk to them, first. It's worth the 10 minute phone call - just in case. Or... if the only thing not working is the temp, just live with it? You can always just do the quick 15* math adjustment in your head. Who knows - it might last like that for quite some time...

Adventure/overnight anchor light doesnt stay tight

Depends on the style - can you describe it better or post a picture? I don't know how old your boat is, but these are very easy to source should you see a need to replace the pole or deck fitting. Perko and Attwood are probably the two biggest players here. If the pole isn't physically...

    Low Fuel pressure issues - 1992 Grady-White Marlin w/ twin 2002 Yamaha 225 4 strokes

So you don't consistently have the issue? That does make it more challenging. However, connecting a portable tank to the boat-mounted fuel/water separator is fine - or better yet, connect it direct to the engine. Either one of those will eliminate alot of variables on the boat side. Keep...

    Low Fuel pressure issues - 1992 Grady-White Marlin w/ twin 2002 Yamaha 225 4 strokes

If I've read this correctly, you ran the engines with a portable tank but there was something else going on or it was just in neutral? Or something like that where the portable tank test was not done completely/properly? Start with the portable tank test. That will eliminate a lot of...

    Starboard movement

It's not uncommon for a propeller to spin in neutral, however it shouldn't be in gear or under power (meaning, you could actually stop it with your hand... but don't try that!). Any spinning should certainly not be causing boat movement. You can double check - with the engine off and in...

Removing bottom paint from transducer lense.

It's very common - and often recommended - to apply anti-foul a transducer. They should work just fine with the paint on there. Did the issue happen immediately after the paint was applied? I would lean towards thinking that the issue is with the transducer itself, not the bottom paint. Is...

    Opinion on Power Winches

You're looking for a comparison from someone that has had both to be able to give real life experience on the two? Probably not going to find someone that has had both - and even if you did, the "sampling" size is going to be so small it would not be relevant. In reality, both are good...

    Hatch Trim Remodel

That looks really nice. And you used black screws (or painted?) for the corners, too! Good touch. Now paint those other screw heads, too ;) A black Sharpie marker will get you 90% of the way there, FYI. Over the years, I've used Krylon For Plastic and Rustoleum (all surface). Both have...

    TV Mount

You're welcome! You would need to rig up a brace to keep the wood in place while the epoxy sets, but that's easy enough. On that front, cover the headliner well with tape to avoid any "squish-out" onto the headliner from sticking. But also, don't put the thickened epoxy to close the edge to...

    TV Mount

Ah, OK. That pic helps tremendously. I see why you're saying the hatch door is not ideal. OK, I'm going to answer as if I was doing this to my boat, so this is just my opinion... After I knew what mount I was going to use, I would cut two pieces of 3/4" plywood to be at least 2" larger than...

    TV Mount

Maybe I misunderstood. You mean that the bolts/nuts would be VISIBLE on the outside of the boat? Functionally, it would be just fine - but I agree with you that it's not ideal aesthetically. Do you have some pics of the possible mounting areas? It'll obviously be a smaller TV - some of those...
