Added Large High Flow Blower to Generator Area

Success! We ran the generator for hours and hours this weekend and we had no vapor locks. I left the New high flow blower running when ever the Gen was running. Then I left it run for 45 minute to an hour after I shut it down. Works like a charm. I think it will keep the whole area dryer too...

    330 Fresh Water problem?

To each his own. I’ve replaced both pumps, and then replaced the washdown pump a second time to go with a Pro Blaster 4.0. I also changed the tiny diameter hose that a Grady had running from the pump to the washdown hose To 3/4” hose. All thru the small access panel. But I’ve been working full...

    330 Fresh Water problem?

There’s a small removable panel down in the berth on the port side. You can easily change the pump working thru that hole. I’m the Shurflo pump rep. My original pumps were still working after 8 years, but I put our new pumps in. I used the Shurflo Aqua King standard 3.0gpm for fresh water and...

Added Large High Flow Blower to Generator Area

I did consider a 110v blower. I just felt more at ease using a low voltage unit. I had the extra 12v breaker on the panel right above the other blower switch. Im pumping air out of the space thru the transom. air comes in thru the 2 factory vents by the transom door and all the other openings...

Added Large High Flow Blower to Generator Area

I have added a continuous duty high flow 12 volt blower to my generator compartment. This helps to prevent The Gen set from vapor locking. It will also allow the area to get more dry fresh air to prevent corrosion. This thing really moves some air.

Adding a raw water washdown and live well to my 2009 Grady White 226 Seafarer

I’m the Shurflo Rep. In 1994 I came up with the idea of the extra port at the base of the livewell pump. We patented it and now license other companies to use it. You only need 1 seacock with the dual port. Shurflo sells Grady all theur livewell pumpS. We have the Piranha, The Bait Sentry and...

2005 330 Express Air Conditioning Replacement

I sold marine AC for years. We alway recommended trying to duct the return somehow. Otherwise you will be pulling air from all the closed off areas behind the hull liner. Yuck.

    Adding Genset to Marlin

I bought my 330 express from a guy that put a new Kohler EKD5 in around Sept 2016. Its constantly giving me issues. It’s fuel injected so it vapor locks constantly. I had the original one of these years ago in my Bertram. There were no electronics and it was carbureted. I never had an issue for...

    2007 330 express repower considering 300 Suzuki

I doubt that. The only motors that would lower resale would be Honda or Evinrude. Suzuki is the fastest growing outboard line in the Industry for the last 2 years.

    2007 330 express repower considering 300 Suzuki

I would think that depends on the boat? There are 2 different Suzuki 250’s. I have the DF250AP’s. They are fly by wire and have a bigger displacement then the DF225 or DF250. The DF250AP is an identical motor as the DF300AP. They are just flashed differently. The 250 is rated at 6100 rpm. The...

    2007 330 express repower considering 300 Suzuki

Your right about that! I’m the kind of boater that couldn’t care less about WOT top speed. I’ve been in the boat biz for 43 years. Sharon and I love 30 mph. That’s a perfect cruising speed for us. I’m very tight with everyone at a Grady. I sold Grady’s back in the mid 80’s and they have been one...
