Have you ever replaced any of the thru-hulls ? The original plastic ones do crack. Also inspect the fittings in the fishbox/livewell. They also have a tendency to crack or leak and the hoses connected to them

Oh those crazy wives !!! LOL My seat has an adjustable pedestal bolted to the bottom the seat so I can move forward or back Maybe yours is fixed model and you can buy an adjustable one? Is the seat a specific brand name? Maybe post a link to what it might look like. Happy Boating

maybe its the picture, but when I zoom in it looks like a previously repaired area. There would have to have been some substantial contact with metal for that to happen. Unfortunately the corner edge is more susceptible to damage to lets say a flat area like the sides

I've have always soldered mine using a mini butane torch, but I don't see why the no-solder solution shouldn't work, especially if done as recommended.

I would just replace it. I put a lot of stress on my toe rails, especially in rough sea. You don't need that repair coming apart at the worst possible time
