    Bilge pump discharge routing?

I believe the shower sump pumps to the forward bilge if I'm not mistaken, it doesn't pump out directly. I did the forward bilge, a couple of years ago and it was a major pain but doable. The hose on my 2001 ran diangle to under the the aft facing portion(near toilet) of the floor to the...

    1998 272 Sailfish Engine Upgrade

The 4 strokes might be a bit heavy for the 272, compare the added weight to what you have now. Also do not exceed the rated HP. Your insurance will mostly like not be happy about it and if you don't have insurance the add HP may cause damage to your transom. Twin 225s are plenty for this boat.

    Bilge Pump Replacement

Trust me I feel your pain with reaching in there. I'm only 5'9" but not on the big side and I find myself chest deep in order to reach down in there. Side note anyone know where to source that tray that sits in the hatch under the aft bench seat? And where to source those valve extension...

    Bilge Pump Replacement

Ok I know it's a pain and you'll have to go in head first, but you can reach it. You're going to have to learn how to work in almost an handstand kind of position. The access for the rear bilge is a pain! But it can be done. Also side note. That original seacock looks in really bad shape, rusted...

    Marlin transducer flats

No worry at all. Maybe I didn't describe it as best as I should have and to be honest it's pretty hard to write and much easier to describe when looking at it in person. Regarding the transducer flat: The flat itself (looking from the outside/ bottom of hull) is parallel to the waterline. But...

    Marlin transducer flats

It is flat/horizontal to water line. In fact, when you go to install the ducer, you will have to make a sort of angled washer to compensate for the inside angle of the hull.

    New York Fishing

Not too many NYC owners on here but I'm out of Jamaica bay. Didn't get much fishing in last year due to construction projects at home but I'm always willing to share location after a day on the a good bite. I go for stripers , fluke and tuna. Seasons almost here.

Flir or Nite Track … experiences ??

I have a flir md625 on my sailfish. Here's the deal. It's a great tool to have, so far 8ve only used it a handful of times when heading out tuna fishing, leaving 330am ish moon and no moon. The refresh rate and clarity is really good while cruising aprox 24kts. The faster you go, the more it...

    Marlin transducer flats

Just for reference if this helps. I replaced a b744 with a b765hl on my 2001 sailfish transducer flat, no fairing (wouldn't fit). The b744 held at all speeds and the b765hl holds till about 30ish maybe 35mph. I also installed a pair of rv220 in the aft bilge connected to my axiom pro.

    05+ 282 Sailfish reviews

I have an 01 and go tuna fishing a few times a year out of breezy point. No issues at all. I think 85 miles is my Max distance. But end up running a total of 200 for the day. Good weather, optimal cruise speed to conserve fuel.
