    Companion bench rebuild

    I think that's a purposeful strategy to justify building a shop!! ;)

    2 color marine grade wire?

What Dennis said!! ^^ I also make a habit of using adhesive-lined heat-shrink connectors as well. Not needed everywhere but doesn't hurt either.

    Replacing fuel lines

Check your fill and vent hoses carefully. I just had to replace on my 2008 Gulfstream. The section just under the fill cap was the worst and just crumbled while the section under the inspection hatch where it goes into the tank was just fine. Was getting fuel smell upon filling but just then was...

Cockpit Rocket Launchers on Express 330

WilkSea, here's your solution for a sunscreen-compatible hardtop rocket launcher if you're still needing more: https://www.gwperformancewelding.com/ Not my boat but remembered seeing it there when ordering a hardtop rocket launcher for my Gulfstream

    Parts Vu?

Had nothing but stellar service with PartsVu - even when I ordered the wrong parts as my mistake they totally took care of me. I'd try them again before going the disputed charge route - that really screws with the relationship they have with their CC processing company. I've also seen notices...

2000 Gulfstream 232 in water fishing photo

A few seconds at https://www.bing.com/images typing in Grady 232 White Gulfstream with two young fishermen produced the following. You could play around with that and come up with something cool. You can also feed it other images such as a free online auto generated cartoon caracture of your...

330 Express Hardtop Wiring Harness--Spare Wires

Top image should show what runs are part of the factory hardtop harness and the second what the corresponding color-code/wire gage is. You may have to click on the image and zoom in.

    Strengthening/reinforcing hatches

See OP's second post: "Doing further research it looks like there is coring in these lids, a thin wood of some sort. Hoping I can simply grind away the gel coat underneath and add the coring to sure it up without needing to grind away the thin layer of coring that is in place."

    Looking for info

Yes, that fishbox under the helm seat is well insulated often holding ice for a full day or more after my fishing trip - That's the one I use. The large "fish coffin" in the back I use for a "bleed box" and have a fish-cleaning tray mounted on the inside of it. Makes it super convenient to keep...

    Looking for info

And that's the solution I went with as well Trophy. Previous owner had pull the rear stock rod holders and put scotty plates over the holes. I removed those and replaced with Burnewiin mounts (epoxy & gellcoat the scotty screw holes left behind) along with replaced the forward holders with...

    Looking for info

I'm here in the Seattle area and bought an 07 232 back in June and have been outfitting it ever since. Let me know if you have any questions or are looking for recommendations on rigging for NW fishing. Mine has twin 200's and I absolutely LOVE this boat!!

    Trailer adjustment

Yes, moving the winch post to push the boat further back on the trailer will reduce tongue weight potentially causing serious trailerability problems. This can be offset with moving the axels on the frame to rebalance. Lots of levers to pull when setting up a trailer just right.

    Looking for info

I fish puget sound, and the washington and west coast VI ocean in my 232 Gulfstream. Super stable on the drift (halibut/lings) and troll (salmon) and night and day from the Trophy I upgraded from. I can have three big guys on one gunnel landing a fish or bringing up gear and the boat lean is...

    gelcoat repair advice

In my opinion many of these answers, although not at all wrong, seem to overcomplicate the issue and repair. From the pic it does not seem to be a structural integrity issue rather a nice divot in the gel coat down to the glass. If it were my boat I'd use MarineTex prepping the area by sanding...

    gulfstream 232 fuel tank issue

Paul - I'm also in the Seattle area and bought a 2008 Gulfstream this summer. First fill up smelled strong fuel smell but without any fuel in bilge or fuel tank compartment. It ended up being a badly cracked fuel fill hose which I replaced along with the vent hose routed alongside it. Fixed the...

What do you do with your rods while trailering?

Our battle-wagons look like porcupines when out on the water with rods in holders, downriggers, rocket launchers, etc. - especially when on longer trips that may include multiple types of fishing (think Neah bay with salmon rods, halibut rods, spinning rods for seabass, etc. for everyone on...

    Fuel Smell

Similar smells on my new to me 2008 Gulfstream. Was a deteriorated fuel fill hose that would leak while filling and smell without any hint of gas in the tank compartment / bilge. Replaced the fill hose (and vent hose since it was routed right besides it) and no more smell at all. If you end up...
