    stripe

Heat gun and plastic razor works quickly and easily , then just a little laquer thinner or acetone to remove any remaining sticky residue. I removed my striping and left it off.....like the look.

    tough day on the brine

That Hookup is the Pacific Ocean, yes some days it looks like a lake, but that is the "salty brine" We get a bit spoiled with days like that on the ocean, but it can also show its other side when it is not so friendly.

    tough day on the brine

Looking back......approx a year ago, I mentioned I would post pics under "tough day on the brine " and I never completed. Thanks to Halfhitch who sent me the instruction (for even my simple mind to follow and screw up) on using "Imagur" back in 2018, I have managed to install some pics of...

    The POD influence

Thanks once more for the great coverage on the 228 with your thoughts and recommendations . Certainly a lot of posative responce for the 228. I would like to take a moment for a posative responce for my "smaller" 208. Enjoy! Summer is coming!

    What Grady to get?

The only issue I have with water on the stern deck is when slow trolling and standing at the stern to bring in the monster. I have solved that with expandable plugs in the scuppers when fishing, removed on cruising, prawning etc. At dock the scuppers are above the water line so no issues with...

    The POD influence

Thanks again for all your imput regarding my question of "bracket " on the Grady. Great info from Doc! Mustang, there are no concerns, question was one of interest, finding out the difference if any between the bracket and notched transom. So more about handling differences rather than...

    The POD influence

Ok, thanks for the tutorial on pod verses bracket. I believe I need to purchase a 228 to get the termanology correct....I am working on that! Appreciate some of the in depth answers to my original question and it does sound all good to me. All my boats have been of the notched transome...

    The POD influence

For you who have a Grady with a closed transome and pod, the interest I have is in the 228 seafarer . What are the noticable handling charaterist differences between the notched transome models and the pod.....if any. I have only had yachts with notched transome....my precious 208 Adventure...

    3D Print?

As a long time wood turner, I would suggest finding a local turner and have him/her turn one on the lathe. Wood is only one of many turnable possabilities. I have turned soap stone, alabaster, aluminium different plastics and resins . Just give them the dimensions and "presto" You will have...

    Do you use Trim Assist?

Beyond A Wake, I guesss the bigger Gradys don't do well with the bow raised on plane. On my 208, sister ship to the 335, well maybe great grand daughter, I run 4 bars up on the TT gauge, which lifts more hull out of the water resulting in better speed at lowere RPM. This is only in a fairly...

    2007 Grady White 228 Seafarer for sale - $64k - Not mine

I'm starting to believe a 228 newer than my 2006 Adventure is not in the cards for this humble skipper. Again that yacht would cost me $86000 in this countries currancy. Unless just one of you would like to start a "GoFundMe"...............unlikely? ;) But I will likely continue the the...

    228 is a beauty

Thanks Mustang, " he who peruses the planet for Grady sales and missies very few" After all my limited homework, this one appears to be a very good price, especially for a 2009. Everything I have seen is still in the 90's for more money.

    228 is a beauty

Thanks JJF Also one of the other issues with purchasing a yacht over the border is the rather large discrepancy in the CD and USD. The boat listed above at $54000 USD is $72000 CD which does create a little bit of an ouch when on the hunt. But.......that is the way it is!!!

    228 is a beauty

Once again a big thanks to all of you with such positive feedback and info. Great Grady has to be the best gathering of folks with so much valued info willing to share so readily. I believe we all appreciate very much each others input....a band of brothers! With the "fun in the sun" season...

    228 is a beauty

Thanks all of you for the great input and also the measurement info. The good news is it would fit in my boat barn but no hard top. It may be just a dream, as the budget will not permit a new one and with the prices what they are and from my homework any 228 for sale appears to be stuck in...

    228 is a beauty

Thanks Mustang, I agree with the variables that come with the question, but it just might give me a general idea to a fit. Appreciate you taking the time for measurement. De- winterizing has got to be the best look forward ritual of owning a Grady. :)

    228 is a beauty

Fellow followers of the Great Grady clan. Would one of you with the 228 seafarer give me an idea of the length of your 228 on the trailer, from trailer hitch to the prop on the outboard. Just need an idea for length of a storage unit. Not ready to give up my 208 but that would certainly be...
