    Deck drain 1999 Adventure 208

You need to know if the fitting is barbed at the hose side and the diameter (inside) of the hose. From there just search for a Marelon mushroom thru hull similar to this one https://www.marineengine.com/boat-accessories/plumbing/906028

    Seat Bushing?

There are a zillion possibilities if you are referring the the slide bushing. Knowing the make/model and year of the seat along with a photo of the area in question will help. If you are referring to the cylindrical bushing that isolates the joint where the seat slider mechanism slides down onto...

    Armstrong Bracket

I am not sure why some (:)) say that addng a bracket will always improve performance. Maybe I am missing something. The bracket can add floatation which can help compensate for the extra motor weight. It does that by increasing the wetted surface area, the parts of the hull that are in contact...

Ultra light weight summer boat cover?

The ones I looked at were in the 300 to 400 dollar range. I just picked the web site I mentioned at random. There are lots of 'generic' covers out there. It all depends on how tight and pretty you want it to look.

Ultra light weight summer boat cover?

Is cover for use on trailer or at dock? what year is the hull? There are lots of manufacturers online but they may or may not make a cover for your specific hull. What does cheap mean:) I looked at BoatCovers Direct as an example

    Armstrong Bracket

It depends to an extent on what motor you hang on the back. The hull was designed for a lightish 2 stroke. Changing over to a 4 stroke may add 100 or more pounds which can push the stern down. A bracket with floatation can offset that extra load. A bracket without flotation will be worse If you...

    House Battery vs. Starboard battery

You can not diagnose accurately if you use the plotter's voltage readings. The voltage it sees is at the end of the accessory (House) feed and subject to the voltage drop due to current draw and line resistance ( OHM's law):) Standard wiring practices (ABYC) specifies that the voltage drop to...

    House Battery vs. Starboard battery

My fist response would be that you have 1 and 2 mixed up. When you got those results, while running, what were your battery switches set to and where and how did you measure voltage. If you used the voltage on a display like a chart plotter, that info is not reliable. If you have excessive draw...

    House Battery vs. Starboard battery

What is a crossover? There should be a direct connection between the two battery ground terminals. It is confusing when you talk about the key being on but the engines are not on. If the key is on, there is power to the engine. The engine may not be running of course. What does not having a...

    House Battery vs. Starboard battery

One possible are that can cause you confusion is that the battery switches in your case have three terminals: There may be additional connections on one or more of those terminals on the common terminal. You may also have direct load connections to the battery terminals themselves. In the first...

Flush Mount Remote Control Freedom 205

I second the :remove the handle" approach but I don't know how that is done. After the handle is removed (and there will be wires to look out for) I would expect the plastic round trim ring to able to be popped off exposing mounting screws. My next uninformed guess is that the assembly comes out...

    House Battery vs. Starboard battery

I don't know for sure if that is the case. I would doubt it though. These motors produce charging current even at idle. I would expect voltages to be in the 13+v range I am also not sure that 14 volts at the dock is the norm. The voltage should depend on the battery's state of charge. If you...

    House Battery vs. Starboard battery

To clarify one term: If you have two batteries total, each is a starting battery. There is no house battery per se but rather one of the starting batteries is also the source for your House loads.

    House Battery vs. Starboard battery

turn both switches to OFF Set switch to 1 (switch 2 still off) then test what works, trim (test both engines), crank ( just a small crank, electronics (MFD horn, Take notes. Now set switch 1 to 2 and redo tests. Now do the same for switch 2, set switch 1 to off and switch 2 to 1 Test as above...

    House Battery vs. Starboard battery

The regulator/rectifier as you call it does not kick in. An ACR or similar device can have act like that. . I am not sure where you are measuring the battery voltages when under speed but my first thought is that one battery is not charging. Your voltage with the motor running above idle ( 2000...

232 prop question I need some help!

What does fully trimmed mean? I also question your installer's suggestion. All else being equal a 4 blade prop will have 'poorer' top end than a 3 blade due to it's extra drag. Regarding your data, which number is the pitch and which is the diameter? I am not sure what factors made you change...

Yamaha 175TXRT troubleshooting help? Maybe electrical?

All three tells you that the engine thinks there is low oil in the main tank (on the motor) as well as the remote tank (in the locker) This could be low oil or a wiring issues. Pull the cowl and see if the oil tank on the motor is full and go from there.

Yamaha Extended Engine Warranty - Is it worth it?

AS a side note, my Progressive policy offered a 'Propulsion Plus' option that covers lower unit and sterndrive damage. It was about $80 cost for my boat. I have good experiences with Progressive but not with this policy add on. Hopefully I won't need to:)

    deck plate gelcoat color

You can use a dewaxer and a stiff brush. also note that you can lightly sand the raised surface for a better bite. The recessed portion of course wont get sanded but it also doesn't get as much wear. The dewaxer should be fine

What color are your eyes? :) I am not sure if the color is the deciding factor but I do know that thermoplastic outlasts rubber
