Same here, 2 seasons, maybe three. I do paint the water line annually though as part of the touch up.

    Matching (or close) Bottom Paint

Ask about compatibility with existing bottom paint. Appropriate prep is critical Of course make sure you follow the instructions especially about using a 3/8 nap or smaller roller. That paint like other Pettit paints does not like thick coats.

    Aft Seat Back Cushion

No the screws do not screw into the brackets. They go in at a sharp angle ans screw into the fiberglass face of the back transom assembly

    Aft Seat Back Cushion

If the cushions were mounted like Grady does bolsters, there are brackets on the back fiberglass and there are holes in the back of the cushion backboard. The cushions are placed over the holes and slid down. Then screws are inserted through the bottom lower edge of the cushion into the...

    Diesel fuel stain

Did you let the O/OFF sit for a while? You might want to try various solvents: Acetone is one. A stronger polish like a compound may be needed, followed by polish and then wax.

    yamaha 200 hpdi lower end.

Its the connection for the pitot sensor that is used to measure speed. You only need one. The pitot sensor measures the water pressure on the forward edge of the lower unit. If you look closely you will see a small hole. That often gets plugged. the sensot has no parts per se, it jut routs water...

    Freedom 235 to 275...

Some owners have said that the 275 ride can be harsh in certain sea conditions. I had looked at 275s but decided that there were enough somewhat 'negative' messages to make me reconsider. The reviews on the ride for the 285 is much more positive.. As others have said; If the boat you have now...

Replacing the transom on my 275 Freedom: a photo story

It doesn't look like there was a lot of rot around the drain plug. Most of the rot seems to be the upper and middle-ish areas on the right of center. If the water did enter through the garboard drain ( a common source) why did the crack appear near the top? It appeared because that is where the...

    Deck Material, what's your choice?

Got it. Local weather does play a big role. The complaints I heard about were in the more sunbelt areas.

Replacing the transom on my 275 Freedom: a photo story

I am a bit surprised that a transom replacement would be needed on a 2011 hull. I agree that a full replacement probably isn't necessary and would make the repair significantly more expensive. I do have a concern about the cause of the transom issue. Was the cause identified specifically? If...

    3 or 4 bank charger?

That is what I am hearing; three banks is fine but four are preferred. I think I will go with fine. The electrical theory is that when batteries are wired in parallel, the ground reference used by the charger is the same for both batteries. Since there is a jumper cable between the two grounds...

    underwater anode

One thing you do not want to is relocate any bonding connections. Doing so incorrectly can result in the marine equivalent of flesh eating bacteria:)

    underwater anode

I don't think that is a galvanic issue. It looks like improper anti-foul job.

Engine distance suggested by GW and source Vinyl bang cap other than GW

I would research the 5200 idea. 5200 is an adhesive and intended for parts that are fixed in place. Parts than can flex or move are better served by using a sealant.

    3 or 4 bank charger?

You raise an interesting point. I believe that some charges let's say a 3 x 10 amp can supply more than 10 amps to one bank if the other batteries are charged. It's like load sharing. I am looking at NOCO chargers and don't see in the documentations that a bank can charge at more than let's...
