No problem, I have installed 2 burnewiin mounts along the stern I have caught many albacore trolling without any issues. I have brought up several halibut with electric reels, without any issue. Just be aware of the shower sprayer. Good luck and enjoy your 228.

You may have already tried it, but what about a 4 blade prop? I put a powertech16 pitch prop on my yamaha 225 and the ability to stay on a plane at slow speeds is fantastic. With out the boat being loaded too heavy, I can keep her planing between 14-16 using the throttle. Just a thought...

I have a 228 in a 30' slip and with the motor up and the bow pulpit, it almost takes up the whole thing. I think you will hang over too much in a 25' but it will be close.

That’s a pretty big generalization. I’m guessing many have including myself have been in comparable or worse. Never fun especially in a small boat but always great full to be back at port safely.

I went with Empire Covers for my 228. It was very reasonable and has held up great.
