    Losing RPM

Anti siphon valves can be removed without removing the dip tube.

    Losing RPM

If you have antisiphon valves, get rid of the spring and ball out of the aluminum tank fitting on the pickup tube. I get rid of all of them since they are not needed on an outboard.

    Rod Holders

I agree there should be more rod holders on every boat. Nobody catches more fish on a boat than the rod holders. Lol. First you have to figure out if you want angles ones or ones that stick straight up, and also figure out where you want to put them. I would match the ones you have so everything...

Electrical issue on 1994 ..... 09 Escape CC

Look around the batteries and the battery switch for the breaker or fuse. Check the fuse panel for power with a test light or volt meter also.

Electrical issue on 1994 ..... 09 Escape CC

Your house circuit may have a main ground unhooked or corroded. The main positive may have a fuse or a circuit breaker corroded or tripped.

    Garboard drain plug!!

I think we have all done that with the drain plug. True story. I got called out to a customers deck boat about 25 years ago to see why it wasn’t planing. (New boat). The boat was at the dock when I arrived at the house. the boat was sitting a little low in the water so I started poking around...

    Those kill switch thingies?

I don’t see why you would not install the fell if you do a lot of solo fishing. The cord attached to my body on a cabin boat is pretty much useless and I have seen the kill switches malfunction while driving and not let you restart your motor. If I have to leave the helm, I have to unhook it...

American red snapper and mahi mahi in Sw fla

Thank you blood. I am the one in the middle with the blue fishing shirt n floppy hat. We fished in my buddy’s 2020 306 canyon. What an amazing boat. Fished 8 and nobody was in anyone’s way all day. The smallest red snapper there is 20 1/2 inches.

    Small Offshore Comparison’s

Hey KY. Is that dive platform a stock Grady item? I really like that. My 24 has the enclosed transom also. Wondering if the 24 offshore has one that would fit.

Lower unit reinstalled yamaha gages not working

Oh wow. That makes it a little more difficult. Maybe trim up and blow air through the tube behind the gage. Should blow out the pinhole in the back of the lower. (In the pic)

Lower unit reinstalled yamaha gages not working

Those tubes are what sends the pressure information to the gages. Do they still not work after you connected them? If so, the plastic nipple on the back of the lower might have cracked when he was putting the lower back on. Try blowing compressed air into the pinhole on the back of the lower...

    Small Offshore Comparison’s

Absolutely. I load my 24 offshore by myself. Sometimes I have the luxury of having my wife pull the truck up the ramp but I am the one that drives it up and hooks up the bow eye. I trained her on how to pull the truck up using two feet so the boat doesn’t go backwards before going forward up the...

That sounds great. Look for the enclosed transom. That is huge. If you are looking to do a lot of blue water, try for a 228. The extra 2 ft goes a long way offshore. If you ride in one In rough seas, you will appreciate it immensely. I have traveled about 1300 miles of open water so far this year.

    Small Offshore Comparison’s

If you are looking to keep the price down on getting a bigger hull, don’t be afraid to get an older hull. My 1988 is a tank. Sometimes you can score a deal on an older boat and make out well.

    Small Offshore Comparison’s

One thing to watch on the hard top. Be sure it is a factory installed hard top or a good custom hard top. The universals are not as strong for the blue water application.
