Crow took pressure relief valve ball

Sorry, but that's funny. Don't know what to tell you about "the ball". We have Ravens here...my wife feeds them....to repay her they like ripping the rubber out of the wiper blades on her car! Pisses me off...I get to put them back together time and time again. My shotgun would fix this...

    Bennett M120 trim tabs installation.

Here is where I put it. Port side transom compartment. Stays mostly dry....no problem. Didn't get the position indicator......had constant problems with the tiny pin connectors and corrosion on the last boat. Mounted a starboard like plate first to mount the pump on.

    Yamaha hdpi or 4 stroke

Repowered a 95 208 SeaV2. Only 50 or 60 lbs. heavier, so no effect on how it sits. I've had 2 of the 175's.....after many hours, they almost always have a bad wrist pin bearing, #1 cylinder....have it checked before you jump.

    Yamaha hdpi or 4 stroke

I have the new F 200 on my 208.......frigging awesome fine power in all ranges and great fuel economy. The old 175 2 stroke might have been slightly better out of the hole, but I don't care about that aspect. I have doubled my range with the F200. Wether you know it or not, the HPDI is a very...

    Installing Kicker on a '96 Adventure 208

Here is what I did.....solid bracket, 9.9 HiThrust Yami long shaft. I didn't want a folding bracket and have been very happy with this set up. Make sure you mount the engine low enough minimize cavitation in rough seas.

New to me Grady 208 Adventure!!!! Couple ?'s

Yep...great engine. Had almost 3500 hrs. On the first one and it ran strong when I sold the boat . Next 208 had a 95 175. Ran strong, sucked the fuel, and developed a bad wrist pin bearing....didn't trust it for my 50 mile offshore trips....you might check for that.....I sold it cheap and...

    1997 208 Adventure

Might check to see if the guy has ballast in the forward hold to even it out. Looked at a 208 with the wrong engine for the hull (which is the case here). They had 200 to 300 lbs. of sandbags up there. That's like taking one big guy or two little guys with you every time you run! He said it rode...

    208 kicker install

5 new holes for the bracket. Holes left by the swim platform were small....filled them with silicone til I can have them properly gelcoated. Got the barely used 2001 engine for $1000.....bracket and backing plate was$380.00....remote throttle control was $200.00. Installed all myself, no glass...

    208 kicker install

OK...it's done. Lots of work involved, but think it came out fine. I troll a lot. Should save lots of fuel and time on the 200.

    208 kicker install

Thanks all. I bought the AdventureMarine unit....nice piece of work and a reasonable price. Will be mounting it in the next few days. Was hoping to see some pics from inside the transom of the backing plate position.....we'll figure it out!

    208 kicker install

Picked up a9.9 Yami 4stroke long shaft. Want to mount it on my 208 and want to use a fixed bracket, not one of those folding thingys. Anyone done this? What bracket did you use and where did you mount it? Seems the area of available transom height inside is limited....looking at the port side...

    Yamaha 200 I-4

Repowered my 208 with the F200XB......love it. Put alittle over 100 hrs. on it in the last couple of months. Performance is great with tons of power , gets out of the hole fine, and top end is great. Best part is the fuel economy....twice the range over the old 2 stroke. Don't know how it would...

    Yamaha F200 in line 4 on a 20' walkaround

Have the F200XB on my 95 208......love it in all respects. Just did the first 100 hr. service so haven't had it long, but did those hours in the last 3 months. Ran the piss out of it with nothing but good results. Basically doubled my range over the old the 175 2 stroke due to great fuel...

    208 wood grain cockpit trim

Yeah...I'll figure it out...got a buddy with a house in Nevada. Will have him get me a quart next time he's there. Why do things seem to be getting more difficult?

    208 wood grain cockpit trim

The California Eco-fascists have struck again.....can't buy Penetrol here! Looks like oil based paints and stains are going away too....what a crock! If I could get some I'd do the Penetrol thing for now. Thanks for all the ideas!
