    208 wood grain cockpit trim

Looks like crap! Faded, washed out trim pieces around the whole thing. What are people replacing it with? Can you sand it to a new surface that would look OK if protected? This stuff is really below Grady standards. I was thinking teak would be a great improvement, but not picky.....starboard...

    Adventure 208 - Rod Holders

2 rod holders mounted on the side rail next to the helm on both sides, on about a 30 degree angle up..those are for my outriggers, then you have 2 more per gunwale, and on the left coast we run meatlines off the back cleats.....potentially 8, but I run 4 rods and 2 meatlines. I don't know what...

    Yamaha repower

you need a F250....F225 would work but for almost the same money and the same engine why not get a250? I'm repowering my 208 with the F200 and it should be perfect. The 4 cylinder would need to work too hard to push your hull.....the 250 would probably give you all the power you need and work...

    Grady fixed kicker bracket

Anyone know what this costs from Grady? Looking for a fixed bracket at a reasonable price....any ideas? Any idea who might like to buy a 95 Yamaha 175 2 stroke cheap? Runs great, but needs one wrist pin bearing....1600 hrs.

    Fuel Gauge Accuracy

Noticed what all you guys dud with my gauge, but not as severe. I pulled the sending unit when the tank was full ( mine wouldn't read completely full) and bent the float arm down til it read full.....doesn't take much bending....more accurate thru the whole range now.

    Yamaha f200 4 stroke question

Working on it! It's tough here in Ca. Want to buy the engine from BOAT.NET.....best price...$3000 less than the dealer I want to install it wants for the same engine. They are balking, since it cuts them out of engine sale, which I can understand, but with sales tax we are talking almost $5000...

    Yamaha 250 four stroke issue

I don't see how you could lose compression on one bank ( are we talking "0" here??) without the rest being affected, especially in the event of oil pressure failure. I thinking valve train issues like timing belt slippage....which bank was affected? Sorry....I see left bank...not sure what you...

Bought a newer Seafarer today. Just needs new bulkhead

Don't get me wrong...people have their reasons....but..why did you buy that boat? Same hull? Not SeaV2? Better, newer power, amenities?.....I'm just curious. I did a similar thing, selling my 89 Overniter for a 95 208 with the same engine, low hours and I wanted the SeaV2 hull...I like the size...

Threw hull or in hull Transducer

I have the B164 coupled to a Furuno 585.....1000 watt version, 20 degree tilt.....works well....just requires a 4 inch hole. No fairing block needed. Heard of performance issues with shoot thru the hull ducers.

Trailer for 2013 GW 208 - Any recommedations?

Very happy with the Platinum 6000lb. aluminum trailer under my 208. Much lighter than the galvanized equivalent , tows great, very adjustable.....get the stainless hardware option. They have a website...check it out.

    Electronics Upgrade

Hope it works for you...Raymarine gets constant bad raps on the left coast, in all categories.

    Steering wheel removal?

What steering wheel do you have...pic? Most of the time plastic cap on the hub pops off revealing a nut that needs to come off and you need a puller to get the wheel off the tapered shaft.

208 Adventure fuel tank replacement question

I have a 1995 and it has the access deck panel and an aluminum tank.....wasn't sure when they started with the poly tank.

208 Adventure fuel tank replacement question

Does this year have the large removable hatch over the tank on the deck? If so, not hard to replace the tank. There should be a smaller hatch forward of the seats at the helm. You need to remove both.

Trim Tab Control - where to mount?

I did as you say...Cut the plexiglass off just below the gauges and flush mounted my chartplotter in that spot. Nice to have in front of you and easy to reach

Trim Tab Control - where to mount?

Whatever you think.....really very convenient there....not many options as you noticed.

Trim Tab Control - where to mount?

The flat area in front of the engine control binnacle.....plenty of room there for the switch . Mounted the pump in the starboard battery compartment....if you got the kit with the tab position indicatator, the control box needs to go there as well...up high away from possible water...

20 foot owners - trim tabs??

20 foot owners - trim tabs??

I put Bennett Sport Tabs on my Overniter and the factory swim step was not an issue. I also put the same tabs on my 208...it has the same swim step pictured above and had to remove it to notch it as shown. No big deal....it doesn't have to go away.
