Soon to be mounting new 300’s on my 282 and the original motor height from Grady was up one bolt hole from all the way down. Leaving one bolt hole open above the bolt. I never saw the ventilation plate so going to go up one bolt hole from factory original. Does anyone have their motors on...

I have the same year model boat with a 250 and best thing I ever did was a 19p mercury enertia prop.

Keep it down a hole deeper for rougher conditions.

All well and good during performance testing. Now get out in big following rolling seas where you have to trim up to keep bow up and the motor starts ventilating. I’d keep her down one from where you are at now.
