    ENGINE FLUSHING

My OX66 had similar problem. The problem was corrosion in the rectifier/regulator. It was the last chamber before the pee tube fitting on the cowling. It is bolted to the block and to keep cool has salt water running through it. Bad design in my view. Small bits of crud would occasionally...

    line/terminal tackle set up

My windfall of rods/reels has kept me busy with re-rigging. Our fishing is pretty uniform. Light trolling targeting Mahi and Sailfish primarily, with Kingfish, Bonita, Cobia in the mix. Typical set up is tld 25 or equivalent with about 500 yds of yellow 30# mono. I keep it simple. Make a...

    Navy Seal Museum Fundraiser

Memorial tournament to raise money for the Seal Museum last Sunday. Team GO FISH did ok. Had the biggest Mahi, but beat out by a 19 pound Cobia in the Calcutta. Good day for a good cause.

    New Suzukis

I forgot. While working today got caught in a rain storm. Noticed water running under and behind the gauge panel. All these new starboard panels need some form of sealing. I am at a loss there. Black silicone, Butyl tape, ?? Need to be able to pull panels for work if needed...

    New Suzukis

Done for now. If I never see a heat shrink connector again I will be happy. After a few fishing trips I will tackle the old ac/dc breaker panel on the cabin bulk head.

    circuit breaker

Had to run out and buy a breaker to finish my panel. WM did not have smaller size needed. The other shop in town had another brand ETA which has terminals labeled 1 and 2 not line and load. Cannot find anything on their website as to which is which. Any ideas? Additionally does it matter if...

    New Suzukis

I use a 100 tooth plywood blade and the amount of "starboard" dust is humongous. Sticks to everything, and unlike fine saw dust doesn't just disappear outside. Inside sticks to everything (static cling?) and hard to clean up. Does not sand as well either, imo. Cannot glue, only mechanical...

adding sonar module to raymarine mfd

My Axiom MFD which is used with EV150 AP does not have sonar capabilities. When bought 2 yr ago who knew you could buy one that did not have that capability, I did not. Considering adding a module. Wondering if anyone has a suggestion. Fish offshore 50-500 ft,

Ditched one spinning, to far gone, and gave away a bait caster. Gonna keep the boat rods. The Penn reel also looks like a goner.

    Re-Power

Just put Suzuki df250's on my 92 280 Marlin. Was worried about weight but after only 5hrs seems ok. My transom was bad, make sure they look close at that.

    New Suzukis

Left side almost done, cell phone holder going in to right of gauges. Not sure what to put under gauges yet. Raymarine MFD does not look much different but it now sits in 1/4 starboard instead of 3/4 cutting board painted black. The mfd went to deep and hit the old Yamaha key switches, thus...

    Christmas comes early

Lovely lady in the neighborhood just moved to the midwest to be with her kids. The husband passed a few years ago. At a going away party last night the guy helping her pack up her last few things told me she had some fishing stuff to get rid of did I want it. Sure I say, thinking its probably...

    265 X - flat panel dash

I see you drawing specs show 3.5 in hole for gauges. 85mm is Suzuki spec thats just under 3 3/8 in. I was going to order a 3 3/8 hole saw online but much easier to buy a 3.5 at HD. Thoughts??
