    Adding rod holders 360 express

GW 300 up is kind of high for holders on top of hardtop, unless they offset down. And just more holes in the top. I use Taco holders Gold Series. They had held up so well, I pulled off my old boat from 2013. They are $100 not cheap, but good quality and you can adjust them on the Aluminum...

2020 Grady white 330 express sloped roof light mount

I also had the problem with a radar mount. Basically got a piece of starboard material, West Marine I think, that helped with the curve and bolted thru it. Used some Sudbury Elastomeric to tack down. Maybe others have better suggestions, but it worked well and looks decent.

    90’s Marlin looking into?

I was kind of in the same situation, wanted the most I could get for the budget. First of all, someone on the forum encouraged me to push up from a Sailfish to Marlin and for that I am thankful. Found an '05, lower hours, new genset, great shape from a GW Dealer in MD, but I did push my budget...

    Electrical issue

Correct, didn't get that technical, Voltage drops on long runs, Amps go up. Agreed, design should have been correct, but someone found a problem with fuses popping and upsized the fuse it sounds like. This will cause fires and damage electronics. Maybe he has an aftermarket charger?

    Electrical issue

20 Amps on 12 Gauge, need 10 Ga for 30 Amp. Maybe a problem with the Battery Charger?

    Pompanette armrest discoloration

This forum has been great for new Grady Owners like myself, so I must give Many Thanks to Doc Stressor and Vinpaa. I found this old post and used the same basic Doc formula and advice from Vin to punch off the arms. Great result, saves some coin to Pompanette.

  13. TortugaBob

    Well, here goes!

Congrats, and I thought my sanity was going, but only looking to Sea Trial, and finalize one of those 2005 Marlins you probably looked at in MD, this weekend. All the Best!

    Marlin 300 Trailer Input

Thanks, Bread. I sent them a request for quote, to compare with the Loadmaster recommended by others.

    Marlin 300 Trailer Input

Gents, agreed with New and Bigger. I am leaning that way. Also, thinking of having dealer sell me a new and hauling the boat back home since the shipping cost pays for more than half the new Trailer. Just dread the 3 days of travel, but all the vessels I look at are on the east coast, and I...

    Marlin 300 Trailer Input

Thanks, will do that. You are right 10-12K new, so would travel within reason, but will check Craigslist, etc.

    Marlin 300 Trailer Input

Thanks FT, no problem in the south, no freeze or wrap needed. Understand the size issue, and do have a large yard. I guess it is more peace of mind to Trailer as needed. There are no haul out lifts near me. We have Hurricane Season etc, whereby you have to make it happen quickly. As I was...

    Marlin 300 Trailer Input

Excited to finalize deal on a used 300, good survey, hours, etc. It does have fresh bottom paint and will sit in the slip most of the time. Any suggestions on finding a decent trailer to haul out occasionally? Prefer used but new is OK too.
