    Gunnel Modification

^^^ I suspect the load comes into play if the downrigger's cable gets caught up on something deep below the surface rather than if the fishing line gets caught up. Am I correct? ....we shall see...

Looked at a 33 express, many issues.

I don't necessarily disagree with the above. However, there is very big difference between a boat that is essentilly ready to go versus a boat that has been sitting for three years.

Hi, Just a crazy thought.... why not throw a low ball offer it? (~= $50k) It's been sitting for three years, so it's going to be a hard sell for many folks. The seller needs a buyer willing to take on a project. He may take a low ball offer to get it off his hands. Worst case: he says no way.

Hi, I am not being a jerk, in case it comes across that way. Do you have financial means to take this project on? My guess is that you are looking at $75k+ not including motors. Therefore, if you bought the boat for $50k, you would be into it for $125k. $75k.... It had been winterized and...

Would it be worth it to move up?

This one is simple: if you can WELL afford it, then do it. Per your profile, you are 64 years old. The next 10 years will be your last best 10 years, so enjoy it. Again, it has to not impact your finances in any negative way.

    New steering wheel

for the rubber inserts.... I bet you find some self adhesive rubber strips that you could fabricate to fit the wheel nicely. .....and then when the get faded, dryed out, grungy, etc., you could simply peel and replace

Have both engines been fully broekn in? If so, my next guess would be a fuel restriction/air leak... can the feed lines be swapped?

Pair of older GW factory rod holders

Hi, A friend was cleaning out his garage and came upon three older GW factory rod holders. $150 for the three. I think they are 15 degree. I can't get pics to post. I can email pics to anyone who is interested.

    Rod holders

FWIW I have factory installed (not zero degree; maybe 15*) on the bow of my 2018 306 Canyon. I almost never use them.

New Grady debut at the end of the month. Big, little, or in-between?

I was surpsied that Edgewater and Everglades eliminated it from their lineups. I could have seen it being popular in the Northeast and mid-Atlantic here in the US. Ironically, Axopar and similar have become very popular.. I think if there were removable hard panels, it would be more popular...
