Is there anyway to know about this prior to purchase? Everything looks solid on this one other than the sealant on the cap, but what lies beneath.......????????

Is there any way to tell if there is moisture in the transom before removing that and resealing it?

Im looking at getting a 2002 30 Bimini w/ 300 verados. The transom cap seems to need to be sealed as well, but transom itself seems solid. No stress cracks down back or inside. Have you found any other possible issues that I may look for? Im in the same shoes you were 5 years ago so hoping you...

Swolt? Like swollen, water logged? No, it seemed solid both inside and out. There is brakets on the inside i could see in the access ports and it all looked dry and solid.

I am looking at a 2002 30 Bimini w/ 2014 300 Verados. There is a what seems to be a cap over the transom, which you notched. The sealant on it is seperated. Does that mean there is transom issues or just reseal the cap. When sea tested the transom did not move and there is not any stress cracks...
