    225 Johnson Ocean Runner Lower Unit

    Need some help with matching a used lower unit to my damaged 1997. Found a replacement but drive shaft is 1 inch shorter than original. Was told that this would be OK. Doesn't seem like less engagement on crank spline would be a good thing. Thanks for any and all advice.
