    Battery Charger

Apparently they do not make the same model exactly like mine but it seems when I looked it up the “pro tournament 360 4 bank” is very similar. It seems mine was a 300 4 bank. I have a NOCO three bank on my small boat which charges 2-12V lithium iron phosphate and one 12V lead acid. I believe it...

    Battery Charger

When I replaced my original guest charger on my 330, I spoke with the engineers at Pro mariner. They recommended a four bank charger for two parallel banks with four batteries. One bank for each battery. The new smart chargers can tell the difference between a parallel bank of two batteries and...

    Simrad linear feedback unit

I would bite the bullet and replace the entire system with one that requires no rudder feedback. I just changed the course computer on my Raymarine by adding a newer course computer and did away with the rudder feedback device and will never go back. It works much better and holds a course...

    Marlin priming switch

My guess is that your motors are the older 3.3L F250s. If so, you engine has a much simpler VST than the 4.2L engines shown in the video. Still on the port side behind the intake manifold. but it only contains one filter. The LP filter is outside the tank between the LP pump and the tank.

Problem Starting 2005 Yamaha F250 TXR Outboard Engine

There are three filters and the water separator in your system. The visible filter on the engine with the water float in it is the first. The next is between the low pressure pump and the VST. The third is inside the VST tank itself. Any one of those those filters can clog and create a problem.

06 yamaha 225 hp dry exhaust question

I had 2 F250s 2007 one had the corrosion issue at 500 hours and four years. The other was scoped and good after 14 years and 1200 hours before I sold them.

282 Sailfish - Water in fuel!?!?

Interestingly, I have a Seaark with a 33 gallon tank that has a different sort of cap that actually seems to pressurize slightly. Not sure of the mechanism but when opened it will burp a little somewhat regardless, it seems, of prior temperature changes. Like a car that has a sealed cap. I...

282 Sailfish - Water in fuel!?!?

I had (have) the water issue with my 330. New o-rings, all good gaskets, etc. I even covered the fill ports with taped down plastic bags to eliminate fill port intrusion. New fuel level sensors and gaskets. No gas smell anywhere. If I keep tanks full, 350 gallons, extra ton of weight, then...

    2017 F250 with new tach gauges ?

Engine hours are stored in the ECU, not the gauge.

    ACR PLB vs InReach Mini

PLB is best as an emergency signaling device. Direct to CG no middle man. As retired USCG pilot, takes the search out of search and rescue! Down side is no non-emergent message capability. Upside No subscription required. I do mostly coastal so in reach is no better than my cell phone. I carry...

    2017 F250 with new tach gauges ?

If swapping gauges, confirms it is a side issue and not a gauge issue, then you’ll need to understand how your Yamaha command link system is wired. It has a multihub that each motor connects to. A bus wire then transmits CAN data from both engines to another multihub at the helm. Your gauges...

Garmin GPS fuse on 25 Coastal Explorer

Garmin usually has an in-line fuse in its power supply cord, not too far from where it connects to Power. That will be there unless an outfitter substituted a fuse of similar capacity on a panel or another place.

fuel tank securing, what bolts to use?

Aluminum and stainless do not play well together. The aluminum will corrode. If you can put rubber washers or some kind of synthetic non-conductive material between the two, it will last longer. I used phenolic washers/spacers on my aluminum boat when mounting anything stainless.

    No power to onboard charger

You will most likely have an in-line switch somewhere in the vicinity of your starboard gunnel, if that’s where your shore power outlet is. It is a galvanic isolator circuit to prevent electrolysis. That switch can trip and eliminate all AC power to your vessel.

    Bang Plate

Since you won’t reuse those bolts, I wouldn’t worry about snapping them off. Worst case you could strip out the nuts, but snapping them off would make it easier to get off.

2004 Grady White 33 Express Cruiser Garmin Transducer

My GT-56 UHD on the stern works great. (under$500) I do lose sidescan above 15 knots, but hold the bottom at 28 knots. Sidescan works amazing. I also have the original (2007) 1K thru hull for traditional sonar that holds the bottom at all speeds. I also have dual 1243xsv
