furuno

G'day all - I have a 2001 209 GW Escape of US origin that was fitted with a Furuno GP-1850DF sounder plotter, which I would like to upgrade to a GP-1971F. The question is, would the original transducer be compatible with the later model electronics? I can't see a model number or any other ID...
