The boat is close to 30 years old, so just like a car, things will need to be looked at closely and eventually repaired/replaced. At this stage you have to be diligent with the outside and inside of the boat, Repair any gel coat cracks, blast and seal the bottom with interprotect (after checking with moisture meter)...check and reseal all your self tapped holes especially below the water line. The wiring is getting old...check and recrimp your conections if the wires are still in good condition....clean and spray up your switches, fuses, lights etc. The engine requires the same maintenance now as it did when it was new. The gas tank is old and will probably have water and some corrosion in it and may need replacement. Once you get in there, its a whole other ball of wax....check your stringers, bulkheads and transom for wood rot.....if so, you'll be rebuilding this area as many fellow members with vintage boats have. Good luck!
