Jus thought I would share.
I really like this old boat.... It has character and fits my boating needs. I have owned it for quite a while and finally decided to have transom re-done. I also decided to pull the 28 yr old tank and replace. I have been very lucky with tank, as it had several areas on tank bottom close to having leaks. The tank came out pretty easy (having to remove hatch and only lift console about 1inch). I am having tank made locally(ft Myers Beach)by a very good welder/fabricator. DYS ( Diversified Yacht Services) is doing the transom and tank removal/install....they have been great to work with and have guided me through this project. Grady tech support ( Bert) has been great as well. I will post pictures after all is complete. I may even repower with the lightweight Merc 150.
I know it's a lot of $$ for an old boat, but I get a lot of looks/compliments on this "old gal" anywhere I boat.
