Hi All, first time posting and first time owning a Grady White. She is a 1988 246g Offshore. The pulpit was removed this past weekend so I can rebuild it. Aside from stress cracks and gelcoat fails, the rear of the pulpit began to separate. See pics. I did extensive searches on here but no directions of how anyone actually tackled rebuilding the pulpit. My idea is to cut along the bottom edge, see red line, then peel off the bottom, check the wood core and begin rebuilding. I do not want to mess too much with the design as it fits/molds to the bow of the boat perfectly. For the top section, I will disc sand all the cracks and holes and fill it with something? This is where I need help. Do I use some copped strand, then cover the entire top with 1708, then Gelcoat or Topside? What should I use for resin or epoxy? This is again where I am confused. I know some of you have rebuilt your pulpits, please any help you can give would be huge. Thanks a million in advance.
