1991 Spirit 175 vs 1995 17' Boston Whaler Dauntless

Any opinions on which is a better boat for mix of fishing(mostly) and family boating. The Dauntless (Deep V)is a dual console with a little room to fish on bow. Plenty of seating but not sure if its good to fish. Thanks for any help I know they are very different and that is what makes my decision harder. Thanks again

Griff, I previously owned the 17 spirit and later owned an 18 dauntless. For me, I would go with the Grady everytime. In my opinion, the whaler does not compare in workmanship to the Grady. I was really disappointed in the whaler after everything that I had read about them. I guess the problem was that I owned the Grady before the whaler. The 17 spirit is very easy to fish out of and is very efficient with a 115 engine. Not sure what the 17 dauntless does with its engine setup. Good luck with whatever you decide on.
