One of my switches is missing (bilge), and while I do plan to eventually upgrade the panel for the time I just want to replace the switch. According to Grady they are obsolete. Anyone found a drop in replacement that will work? Anyone have any old switches you will part with? Thanks!1000000349.jpg

Regardless of what style of switch you have they are actually quite easy to find - most likely, your local marine stores has them. Take a picture of the backside of the switch or take the switch with you. They're inexpensive, too.

Like Hookup1 suggested, might want to consider an updated panel. I found that some of my original breakers were undersized for the newer accessories hooked to them, namely my bilge pump. I had New Wire Marine build me a new panel and very pleased with the final product.

Those are McGill 'euro-oval" switches. They were crap.
And the holes in the panel are smaller than a new Contura switch housing which makes replacing switches a pain.

Get a new panel made with Contura switches.

You might find some used McGill oval switches on eBay just to get you going...

I replaced one of mine w an off the shelf switch from west marine. I believe it was std carling style rocker. Went right in.
Hmmm? You had euro-oval switch? Mine would not go in. Had to dremel tool the hole in the aluminum panel open to get a Contura in there. Ended up getting a new panel made anyways.

I'll have to double check what brand I installed. BEP maybe? My panel was that duratrim crap (fiberboard). Ultimately I'm going to do the same. 95 Marlin, redone almost the whole boat. That's one of the last things.
