Good morning All,
It is time to repower my Grady 265 Express.
Currently the boat has Yamaha 200 HPDI twin engines which are awesome but have now become somewhat unreliable due to the age and hours.
I have a lead on twin Evinrude G2 200 HP OUTBOARD’s.
Anyone out there that has any input on this would be greatly appreciated.

I think the new Merc 200-225 V6’s or the new Merc 250 V8 would be perfect, but the wait is close to a year. Some one on here repowered with G2 250’s. Might want to contact them

hello, after 2002 grady made changes to accomodate the weight of 4 strokes. one of the biggest was raising the scuppers. ive " heard" of a couple people putting 4 strokes on without making alterations. the yamaha & suzuki have 4 cylinder 200hp that are bolt on/bolt off replacements for the hpdi,s, personally being skeptical of these 4's having less power i did find a guy same year as mine 2001 with the yamahas, ...he took me for a ride and i was impressed. the boat went faster than mine top end, the hole shot you had to give it a little extra to get it up
ive been reading up and it seems the suzukis are geared to have more torque/hole shot and can spin a bigger prop but prob have a less high end speed. i would really like to find someone who put the zukes on. i think its important to stay as light in the back as possible with these boats as they already steer kind of"squirrelly" .

I hear you on the squirrelly, has anyone run 4 blade props on a 265? Wonder if that would help
