I know just enough about electrical to get myself into trouble so when my stereo stopped working on a recent fishing vacation, I assumed it was the stereo. However, when I took it into the repair store, they confirmed that there was nothing wrong with the stereo. I checked the voltages on the boat and found that the positive (yellow wire) only was running about 9.5 volts which was not enough to run the stereo. The red has full 12.2 volts. I'm trying to figure out what is going on but can't figure out where the stereo gets it power (where does it connect under the helm?), whether there is a fuse or a switch. My wiring diagram doesn't show the stereo. Can anybody help me out?

My 2004 stereo also has a remote controller at the helm station. not sure if the power could run through that and onto the stereo, It might make sense since the helm controller is closer to the fuse box.
