2002 Seafarer Trolling Motor install advice

Greetings all, I have a 2002 Seafarer 226 and I am wanting to install a trolling motor. Thanks to all the previous comments I feel good about the location of the trolling motor itself but need some advice on best place to put the battery and charger. My guy who is going to do the work wanted to put it in the floor of the cabin and put a hatch over that, but that would make me change the original outlay of the cabin and I do not want to do that. I am fine with removing the toilet and putting things in that compartment but wanted to see how others have done it. Huge thanks in advance!!!

Spot lock? How many batteries?

Yes, def would like spot lock. I suppose it will take multiple batteries. My guy says it has to be in a vented space. I sometimes overnight in the cabin so I really don’t want to change anything structurally about it but also def need the trolling motor. Huge thanks for the response and any help you can give is much appreciated. I live in Char NC and keep the boat in Georgetown SC. Thanks again!!

I highly recommend the Rhodan, with the single 36 volt LiFePo4 battery.
I mounted my battery in the large compartment below the starboard bunk. No issues there. No ventilation needed with these batteries.

Definitely get the LiFeo4 battery. You'll save space, weight, money in the long run, and get better performance out of your motor. I am just waiting for my AGMs to go so I can make the switch.

I deleted the porta potty and mounted (2) 36v / 60AH lithium batteries (in parallel) on the floor, put the on/off switch and 60 amp breaker on the port side wall next to the 1" wire hole i drilled for wiring. I installed a Monster Marine Ultimate "on the run charger" under the starboard stern seat near the 12v batteries. Running the boat, that charger will charge my 36v TM batteries once (if) my house batteries are full (aux charging lead) and works the same if I plug the charger into 110v AC (it'll top off house then deliver 36v to the TM batteries) Convenient to only have 1 charger and very simple. Also has a reverse flow lead that'll charge my starting battery from the 36v batteries, doubt I'll ever need that because I can easily jump my engine from House.
