Can anyone advise what the original Seastar tilt helm model is on a 2005 Tournament 225? I could not find and model numbers on it any where and it looks like it has a substantial leak from the back of the pump.

I'm not around my boat to double check, hopefully someone else can shed a bit more light on the topic at hand, though I imagine a boat of your vintage will likely be a Classic Tilt Hydraulic Helm model? I'd obviously confirm this with another forum member, GW or SeaStar themselves before purchasing. That being said, they also appear to have a couple of replacement seal kits on their website. Is your unit something that can't be repaired? Unless the entire housing is cracked, I imagine it's likely a seal that is leaking?

Yes, it is definitely a tilt but looks a bit different than the one in your link. Hoping to get to seastar model from that year so I can see what rebuild kits are available. Really hoping to not have to purchase a whole new helm

Do you have a picture of the current helm on the boat? Or a picture from Google of what it looks like?

Call Dometic (SeaStar) directly with that picture ready to email. They have unbelievably excellent customer service. They tell you exactly what you need.

But... where is the leak? Can you just tighten connections? On mine, I just tightened the screw-on connections and the leak went away.
