I am looking to put an inverter on my 2007 Marlin to run the microwave 2-3 minutes 2-3 times day. I am looking at a 1500-2000watt

Questions I have

1. Location where to mount it? I want it hard wired to the battery.

2. How should it be wired into the 120v electrical system?

Any other thoughts or suggestions are welcome.

Thank you,

It's typical to mount inverter on lower berth wall.

If it's just the microwave, you could hard wire a remote duplex outlet near the microwave and swap plugs. If the current microwave power is hardwired, you can also add an outlet and use a plug instead so it can be swapped. They do make selector switches for this function, same as generator use, however having the outlet you can use it for other things too.

Nothing wrong with using an extension cord from the microwave directly to inverter sockets, just don't trip over it.

Will need plenty of expensive cable to get back to the batts, where you should have a breaker added.
