My husband just passed and I have to sell our 305 Express with Yamaha twin 350s. It's just too big for me alone to handle. I figured I'd post it on here before listing it with a broker. It's located in Eastern NC and has all new GPS, Radar and depth finder. Engines have approx 500 hours on them. Also, if anyone has any recommendations for a good broker in NC, would appreciate any info. Beautiful boat!! Wish I didn't have to sell it.

Sorry for your loss.
I'd search out a local dealer via GW' website. Maybe shoot GW Cust Service an email as well (they are in Greenville, NC) for some advice.
Easier I'd say for a dealer to take their 10% (or whatever they get these days) to move it for you if you are not comfortable doing it yourself.

Post it on here and maybe Boat trader first. Come up with your number $ and options list along with as many clear pictures illustrating the boat, it's features and upgrades as you can. Be prepared to show the boat and answer questions. If you don't get any bites maybe try a price adjustment first before contacting a professional (and I use that term loosely). If going that way, you may want to use one that is located conveniently near the boat to insure they are present when showing it. If the boat is in good shape it should sell itself.... So sorry for your loss, stay strong.

Thanks for all your great advice! It sure gave me more hope than the broker I talked with this morning!!

I think that brokers may not agree with your 'asking' price. It is in the range for that model and year but there are a few potential negatives. If a broker mentions these, I would have a better feeling that the broker knows what he or she is doing.
To me without seeing the boat would be concerned about it not have been used much in the past several years. That is not a good thing for a boat.
My second concern are the motors. The 350s were problematic and some folks would be less inclined to but a boat with 350s. If it had 300s it would make a difference on the positive side. If the boat is on a trailer, that would also add to the value.

Don't rush into any agreements until you feel comfortable with a broker. Talk to a few if you can. This is a good time of the year to be selling.

Condolences to you and your family over your loss. It's not in NC, but the Grady White dealership I bought my boat from is called Tri State Marine in Deale, Maryland. Of which they're a Grady White affiliated dealership, they do consignments and I had a good experience purchasing from them, as well as I've yet to hear any negative reviews about their business. Not sure where in NC you're located at, but it might be worth at least a phone call to them and see what they have to say, or if you don't go with them, they might know of a place closer to home. It appears your closest Grady White dealership from Charlotte, NC is a place called Mid-Carolina Marine in West Columbia, SC of which they also have decent reviews as well. You could always try giving them a ring also. Also, in regards to the above comment on pricing and a broker not wanting to take the boat on... I think your asking price is right in the ballpark as there is a 2008 Grady White 305 Express currently for sale on Boat Trader with twin F350's on it and a trailer for $135k. Either way, good luck with the sale and condolences once again.
