With my 2000 228 Seafarer, I am trying to figure out how the stern seat back cushions were supposed to be connected to the boat. Outside of the two holes to slide them into, I am nervous that this is not enough and they may fly off under cruising speeds.
There seems to be a swivel locking clasp on the cushion but its not attached to anything (both male and female parts are on the cushion). Also, they are not actually long enough to be attached to the backside of the molding or short enough for the frontside of the molding.
I read something about there being a bracket, but I don't have one on either side.
Just curious how its supposed to be before I go ahead and make something to attach it to. I don't think the previous owner ever used these cushions (or most of the others). I've been going cushion less the first fews times out while I get acquainted to the boat and focus on the more important things, but my wife and daughter want them all on the next time we go out.
Thanks in advance.
