I got a dealership in Coos Bay OR to deliver a 2014 228 to Seattle, and along the way the vent window on the starboard side by the helm went missing. The dealership has gone radio silent and Grady White doesn't seem to offer replacement glass. The missing window is not a big deal now, but will be when things get cold this fall.

Any suggestions for replacing this window? It is a small piece of glass, but the local dealership said it will be very expensive to replace.

So far a great boat, just working out some kinks.

I had one missing on my 228 when I purchased it. I went to the local glass shop with a stencil I made out of cardboard. They cut one for me for 18 bucks. You can find some companies in FL to cut one out of glass but it is massively expensive. Im not sure exactly what my glass company used but its similar to acrylic. Looks pretty good.

Great idea. Thank you. I’ll use the port side as a template.

I just did my vent window. Local glass shop had too send it to a supplier bc it had to be tempered glass. Took 3 weeks bc of the virus shut dyowns and cost $295. I used the opposite side as the template too. If you use the guy in Florida, call Grady White and get the part number before calling him.
