I was out today by myself and recorded the RPM and Speed. How does this compare to other 228Gs? F250 4 Stroke with just me and 3/8 tank of fuel. Water tank empty. Speed per GPS.
4200 RPM 29 mph Cruise
6000 RPM 43 mph WOT

Just Curious.

Cruise is just about dead on with mine. Top end for me with the right chop and wind just right is about 48 mph.

I was on a lake, no current, wind negligible, pretty calm, 3 blade prop. With the hardtop and radar dome I had to be real careful going under one of the bridges on Lake Greenwood. I had about 8" clearance and another I could no get under. Sure do get a lot of looks on this smaller lake in the big ole Grady.

That's about what my 226 running an F250 does as well. I max out at 5800 rpm turning a 17" prop.

My 228G with 4 aboard and full fuel and ice at 3800 cruises at 21 to 23 knots. I do have a hard top. This cost me about 500 RPMs to maintain the same speed. The top was well worth it. I have a 200 hpdi Yammy.
